    I should have clarified. The plan was for them to cross flow into fighters. They could just go straight into IFF as studs.

    AFPC rated assignments had a plan to send 4 11M T-38 UPT instructors to cross flow into fighters (since they don't need 38 spin up). AETC/A3 non-concurred though due to no backfill plan. The 4 MAF dudes weren't selected yet.

    Aka the T-38 qual syllabus to allow T-1 pilots to enter IFF. There's a syllabus for just that and it's essentially phase 3 of UPT.

    The instructors for the A-29 are all 11Fs. It would be a while before the AF changed from that route for a LAAR.

    It's a bad deal unless you are hired into a higher GS equivalent position. Things to remember though, you don't have to do it unless you signed a contract stating you will. It's civilian employment. Edit: The memo mentions GS-12 positions which means you'll make more as an ART than a TR.
