  1. Methods including but not limited to containment fires, non lethal devices aka micro waves, and red lines painted on airfields seem to work pretty well conveying the reality of consequence IMO.
  2. According to V if we simply change the LAW then they won't be illegal. Laughable man. Just change the law so I can murder my boss and take his position. Brilliant.
  3. Apologies for the detail gents, a vector check was in order. Break break I can't help but find myself in the mindset that I broke my back and stressed the f$$k out of my family to get a masters just prior to my majors board so why can't the young capt do the same. I rode the Mosley myth of not needing one to my own detriment but these days why risk it? Get it while you can, spend a few hours Saturday morning when you are hungover and space it out. I say get it done regardless you can't trust big blue.
  4. You need to stay in your lane bro. You and one other on BO talk a big game about nav/cso role in the ACW/J and pilots "just driving the bus". That's ing laughable. Regardless of the perceived talent in the back of the plane you still do what you are told...by the pilot...in nearly every phase of flight. Check yourself. If you are part of either program and you fly with an AC that is not working his crew like finger puppets you come find me and I'll fix it quick. PM me for my contact info.
  5. CAS is not defined by the level of anti air threats in the area. Survivability is great but so are loiter time, accuracy and keeping eyes on target for the duration. Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
  6. No love for the Clovis NM pivot? FML. Spang for AFSOC!
  7. "The most curious thing about our four defeats in Fourth Generation WarLebanon, Somalia, Iraq, and Afghanistanis the utter silence in the American officer corps. Defeat in Vietnam bred a generation of military reformers, men such as Col. John Boyd USAF, Col. Mike Wyly USMC, and Col. Huba Wass de Czege USA, each of whom led a major effort to reorient his service. Today, the landscape is barren. Not a military voice is heard calling for thoughtful, substantive change. Just more money, please." http://www.theamericanconservative.com/articles/an-officer-corps-that-cant-score/
  8. ...and that knee surgery I need has to happen now and btw lets do LASIK.....DNIF mutherfockker. No muy gusta 365.
  9. Performance is the true measure of ability. Questions?
  10. Because Marine F-18s in the stack are sooooo much fun...and they know the JFire too!
  11. Revolver Brewery blood and honey American Ale is delightful! Brewed in Granbury Texas. Very smooth with hints of grapefruit and honey.
  12. Should that NOC list ever make out to the cadet wing it's gonna be a rough day in Gen Pop. I'd have cut a bitch.
  13. Bender, excellent post (#118) and I couldn't agree more. I spent 9 months of my life which I'll never get back flying the Mac-12. I was absolutely shocked at the lack of professionalism both on the ground and in the air. The saddest part of this mishap is that the few of us that could spell the word tactical knew a serious mishap was just a matter of time. I recently lost a dear friend in the dynamic aviation accident in Columbia, he continued to warn me (even on the civilian side) that the community was seconds away from a mishap. Unfortunately it cost him his life.
  14. New Belgium's French Aramis IPA...outstanding beer. Very different from your traditional IPAs with subtle notes of smooth oak, orange, grapefruit, and floral hops without the strong bitter hops kick you are used to with IPAs. I tried it at a recent beer festival IVO LRF. Very impressed. Has anyone tried New Belgium's Accumulation IPA?
  15. yep, that's how they've been doing it and its worked so well...
  16. And dragging the gear two miles short on approach at bastion....nvgs are hard!
