How much do the politics actually effect your daily life (as a temporary resident), compared to the benefits to your daily life by enjoying the climate, culture and topography? 4. Basically, like with anything else, you get what you pay for. California costs more because you get more. Unless guns are your thing. YMMV

True story. FY 15 is the end of the era for PNS parachute water survival. The current Det CC is a CRO and fought the good fight for retaining the training, but apparently the powers that be decided it was no longer cost effective, given the program's mishap rate vs credited saves. Is anyone currently using the Foreflight Military Flight Bag software? I have the Foreflight basic subscription on my IPad mini and occasionally strap it to my knee for a bit more SA and I like it, but it would be nice to have the worldwide Flip accessible on Foreflight. I thought they used to give this option at no additional charge, but now there website shows $299 for an annual subscription to the MFB. That's steep considering my current subscription is $75.
