AF24 states, "AFOQT SCORES (Only AFTCOs or Unit Commanders are authorized to enter scores)." Obviously this seems to state I cannot enter my scores on my own for this form. Does anyone have some better info on filling this out? I ask because I have worked with two recruiters and they have both been incredibly non responsive. I would really prefer to not have to try to track them down just to have my scores entered. Has anyone entered these themselves? Where any issues brought from this?

Hey everyone, I am an air guardsman right now, and I have a pretty complete grasp on how the applications work for Guard UPT slots. However, the Reserve side is a mystery to me. From what some other folks have said, it almost sounds like there is some sort of application you can fill out that gets sent to multiple bases, and they will reach out if they are interested. Is that a thing? Was that a thing? Whatever information you can give me so I can understand the differences between applying Reserve and applying Guard would be super helpful. Thanks!

  4. Afternoon All! Looking to get some tips/advice for a UPT board interview over the phone. I am currently enlisted in the ANG and deployed overseas. I was selected for the opportunity to interview with an ANG unit and they are completely understanding of my situation and willing to do it over the phone. I've interviewed with several units in person and this will be my first phone interview. Any suggestions to help counteract the lack of face time? If you've interviewed via phone please feel free to share your experience/thoughts. Thank you!

  5. Is it possible to improve on your overall board score in the AF? I recently found out that I was .7 points too low on my board score to be considered for a pilot slot. However, I scored high enough to qualify for an ABM position.

Hi All, I am taking the AFOQT in November. When speaking to the Recruiter about prep materials, he mentioned that past actual AFOQT tests are available online via the Peterson AFB website - https://www.peterson.af.mil/. Has anyone actually seen these or found them online? I have been looking, however to no success. The recruiter did not know their exact location on the website. Let me know if you guys know where to find them. Or if there is another location to where archived tests are available to view. Appreciate the help.

For current Nav's that get a UPT slot... Are the Class I physicals always done at Wright-Patt? Or has that requirement eased up so that you can get them at another base?

I've been using Trivium's online test I paid for AFOQTAcademy's online test and I've been using AFOQTpractice test.com I've done both the Trivium and Baron tests in their books as well as the short AFOQT PDF from the Air Force website. Are all of these tests good? The only sections I still really struggle with are Arithmetic and Math. (I've never taken college Algebra or Geo. I took Stats and Finite Math). Is there any other practice test I should know about? If I take this test at the end of this month, I want to be ready and ace this ing thing.

Hey guys. I am an AD OTS/Pilot selectee, awaiting an OTS class date. At what point during the process does one find out their a) UPT base, b) IFT date, and c) UPT date? I ask because access to that information will inform my decision of when to PCS my family back from OCONUS. For instance, if I wont find out my UPT base until halfway through OTS, then clearly I can not PCS them beforehand. Thanks!

Dudes/Dudettes, I recently learned I was selected to trade my stripes for bars and attend UPT. I've learned a great deal from this forum. A lot of the info helped me be successful at the board and I know I will continue to learn from the grey beards in this community. I dont have have much else to say besides thanks for the guidance and answering whatever stupid questions I've asked and will continue to ask. I'm off to sharpen my popcorn making skills!

Hi all, first off I cant say thank you enough to all those that have posted in the past and helped me grasp what the process of off the street ANG pilot selection is like. I can now say first hand that with motivation and perseverance anything is possible. I have been in this process for a tad under 2 years and was just selected to fly the f-16. I took 3 interviews, 2 afoqts (both were not out of this world by anymeans)2 tbas tests and a few weekend trips to SQ, but it finally paid off. The 3 top points I can share are 1- Rush Units, Show up get to know the pilots, but more importantly let them get to know you. 2-Dont let anyone tell you NO! but unders…

  16. So I got the word today that I was selected by the AFRC board and got a follow up e-mail to set up an appointment to enlist. How does that affect my civilian life before going to OTS? I understand it will take a little bit of time to get training dates and security clearance and all that. Do I keep working at my civilian job in the meantime? Also, do you get paid while being enlisted or is that just a formality? Anything else I should keep in mind?

  17. Hey all, I was told by my recruiter a little over a month ago that OTS 16OT04 Rated Board is scheduled to begin meeting today, 7/25/16. I just wanted to know of anyone can confirm this. Additionally, I was reading how the results for the AD Board usually takes between 3 and 4 weeks for results to be announced.... is this the same for OTS? I'm sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere, I'm just an anxious applicant seeking to cope. -Pilot Applicant

Hello everyone, There were some complications with my application package and my recruiter had to resubmit it. He told me that they received the application on February 17th, the last day that they convened. How likely is it that they still looked at my application? From what I understand, the convening dates just mean that it when we are scored before the decisions are made by someone else. Is this accurate? Is there any chance of them convening after the 17th? Unfortunately, I don't know the time that they received the application. Now, instead of waiting for a "yes" or a "no," I am waiting for an "if" they even got my application. Does anyone have any insight on …

  20. Background: USMC AH-1W driver looking to go ANG FW fighters. I know the FWQ course that was previously designed for Army RW guys without joint-FW primary experiences (t-6/34c) has gone away. Looking to see in more recent years (FWQ seemed to die around 2013) if anyone on here put in for a rated-slot, went to the ARB, and were given a specific pathway. Thanks.

  21. I am not sure if this has been posted here before. Searching through the forums, there have been only a few, scattered references in revived threads. I have not seen the memo attached. I found this memo from HQ A3 granting a blanket age waiver for RPA pilot applicants. This particular one is for active duty but I have called around to ANG and Reserve units to see if they are following suit. I have a memo from the NG Bureau stating that they will. Up until recently, individual ANG units were making their own call on it. Units that were doing well in manning and applicants told me they were not. Others that had less personnel were following the AD policy.…

Good morning to all, In late September, I went up for the Rated Supplemental Board and unfortunately, was not selected. I found this out in late September. The thing is, I retook my AFOQT awfully close to the Supp. Board date. Although most might dismiss the possibility of my scores still making the board, it should be noted that my scores actually came out in 6 days, as such, that possibility should be increased to some respect. My PCSM went from a 59 to a 76. Here's the timeline to help with my story. Timeline: 16 Feb - Received RPA (PCSM was 57 when sent to board) 9 Aug - TBAS retake (PCSM improves from 57-59) 13 Sep - AFOQT retake …
