I think it's about 50/50 between A/A and A/G and a good mix of strikes/vipers.

This class literally dropped 12 AD Vipers though. 1 Raptor, 2 X C-130 and German Tornadoes/EF-2000.

What I saw the past few years was that the Raptor was the clear winner for top choice. After that mostly an even split between Mudhen and Viper. The occasional stud wanted a Hog or Eagle. It appears the writing is on the wall for those platforms. If/when that changes I bet they would become more popular again.

Only 11 in a class? They do something weird to the classes down there?

do these intl students take up AD T38 slots or do they just create more T38 slots to accommodate for the intl studs?

No, their countries buy their slots. They are separate from the American students.

Good to see big blue is being preemptive about this looming 11F shortage.....

The trouble is supposedly with a shortage of IFF slots, not UPT. But we still have intls going through our IFF.

You know, of course, international iff slots will be higher priority than domestic .....

From what I've been told it's basically been a matter of a general shortage of fighter pilot instructors in the training squadrons overall. Both in IFF and the B courses. Not to mention the D model viper set back with the longerons.

The trouble is supposedly with a shortage of IFF slots, not UPT. But we still have intls going through our IFF.

Why don't they just combine it with UPT like the Navy?
