  • By this logic, the AF could implement a drunk driving simulator and all but eliminate DUIs! Someone could get a top notch OPR bullet for that.

  • Thank you Mr. Webster. Related question, what is the distance from an airfield where it's safe to become hypoxic while flying?

UFB. I did not know this.

And I guess this is how they descibe you as a MiG Killer if you post in an online forum while you're still AD...

He also engaged two Mig-29 Fulcrums of the Serbian Air Force on the first night of Operation Allied Force over Serbia in March 1999 while helping escort a wave of F-117 Nighthawks.

"Engaged"? WTFO?

Now, he took plenty of shit for his inflight WRM during that "engagement"...shit that started immediately after we all stopped standing at attention for his DFC...but it was Nellis after all, expect to be debriefed.

This is bullshit. And I guess standard now.

Thank you Mr. Webster.

Your Welcome.

You just took grammar hammering to a new level.

Or he is a foreigner trying to steal secrets:

The briefing slides Air Force Times obtained listed some of the questions Shower received — in the exact form they appeared on various message boards. They also pointed out how many posters used poor English, insinuating that technical Raptor questions came from foreign users.

“I have a question. and if it is sensitive im sure someone will let me know…” reads one question in the briefing. “but looking at the actuator blister fairings. especially on the vertical inboard fins, that are diamond shaped, how the heck to the move without impacting the skin?” asked one user, according to the slides.

“I have two small questions for Raptor and JSF, and I would be very gratitude if you would like to give me some answers,” began another.

Sorry guys, the poor english quote here is Baseops standard!

Maybe another uninformed OSI NCO can produce a brief on it, like the one they ginned up to try and roast Dozer for doing his job.

Maybe a finance chick could do it so we could put her in for a Bronze Star.

Even after the dust settled, the Air Force still fucked him. PM me if you want his contact details.

Here is the PP kill job done on him

If you want to double-down on that sentiment, consider that, at least in my corner of the AF, that ppt was sent out through official email with a clear directive to "read & heed"....

Hello....my name Bob. May you please speak with me for moment. Did you not attend African Youth council one time many year ago. A boooogalla, boooogalla, boooogalla....Ah ha ha. How many planes we count them.

Give me break.

First let me say that I think the F-22 is a FABULOUS airplane with a MAJOR PR problem. Given all the problems with the craptor (both in PR and mechanical), I'm glad I was never selected to fly it.

Touch and go practice session. Interesting. And tactical.

And tactical.

Maybe not tactical...

... but at $412M, you still have got to bring a Code 1 jet back Code 1.

You guys jump right to gun employment at Hog RTU?

No, the gun intro is on the third ride. However, I expect every TX1 student to be able to land the plane. B-coursers though are a different animal.

As would I. Especially someone transitioning from another side-stick electric piece o' shit jet as in this case. But ride 2 in any new airplane generally ain't real tactical.

And you fly what?

I bet it was a B courser. Raptor studs fly Fighting Falcons for 6-9 rides prior to starting Raptor RTU to get used to flying side-stick electric pieces o'shit.

My pure speculation WAG is that it was too high of an aerobrake and drug the stabs. And since it's a Raptor, that probably costs about 50 million.

Just microsoft flight simulator. I'm a wannabe. And I live in my parents' basement.

That is a interesting way to describe what happened. It is also very wrong. Might want to stop by your closest SIPR machine and ask it what happened.

He's right about this. The average Raptor Stud is at his "Captain's boards" with nothing but training reports when you add that they now do two b-courses.

You EVER done a touch and go in the Eagle?

And you fly what?

LOL

I've never understood the CAF's reluctance to do a touch-and-go, and to settle for a low approach.
