August 21Aug 21 I went with the Cal Flame G Series for my outdoor kitchen (highly recommend). Have the Ooni and Blackstone set up as well.
August 21Aug 21 Holy smokes, I’ve never thought of myself as a cheap bastage, but y’all are into some serious grills. I can’t wrap my head around $1,500 to $2,000 for a gas grill even with our recent several years of inflation. Ouch!

August 21Aug 21 If pizzas are a consideration, it is worth getting a specific pizza oven. Pizzas are best cooked around 900 degrees, which is far hotter than most grills will be able to stay when opening and closing constantly. I got the propane Solo Pi, doesn't take up much room and cooks a pizza in about 2 min. Not cheap, but if your family likes home made pizza, its a game changer.

Next to my grill in the pic is my Ooni pizza oven. Love it, also great to fast sear steaks.

You'll never beat a dedicated pizza oven, but if you don't have the budget/space for a specific pizza oven, this Ninja-Engineer's-Fever-Dream seems like a pretty good middle ground. I had to dig to find a video I didn't hate, and failed, but I settled for a nice lady that I think Biff would kiss softly on the forehead before sneaking out of her apartment wearing a stolen "going out" thong from her hamper: Another: I don't have much pizza experience, but I'll try to make a pie once I get the stone in the mail and report back. With the shape of the house, pool and screen enclosure I had to put the outdoor kitchen on the exact opposite corner of the house. My house is fairly large and they wanted $2,000 to run a gas line to the opposite side of the house. Also, the Ooni...man it makes a great pie. I have an iron skillet with the grip cut off that I use to cook steaks. Get it up to 900 degrees and slide the skillet in on top of the stone...Ruth's Chris style.
