November 5, 201312 yr Had a Founders Brewing Breakfast Stout the other week. It's a double-chocolate coffee oatmeal stout, and it is delicious. Easily one of the best beers I have ever had. 9.6/10. Very solid beer - especially for the winter. I also think Founder's Porter is probably the best porter out there as well. And their Centennial IPA is very good too.
December 27, 201311 yr Has anyone tried New Belgium's Accumulation IPA? Solid IPA, picked up a case at Costco. I like it, can't say much more.
December 27, 201311 yr Solid IPA, picked up a case at Costco. I like it, can't say much more. Great IPA!Highly recommend Delirium Tremens. Difficult to find, but worth the work to get it. https://www.deliriumbeer.com
December 29, 201311 yr Left Hand Wake Up Dead Imperial Stout. Long name for a good beer. Thick, strong, dark as coffee.
January 2, 201411 yr split a 2013 Bourbon County Brand Stout with the Old Man on NYE. Very boozy (its 14% abv), lots of chocolate, caramel, black licorice, and a bit of bourbon, but you can taste the potential for aging. Looking forward to cracking one in several years.
January 3, 201411 yr Left Hand Wake Up Dead Imperial Stout. Long name for a good beer. Thick, strong, dark as coffee. And the brewery was founded by two previous Air Force guys. Gives me ideas for my retirement plan. If you like that, try their Nitro Stout or the Milk Stout. Edited January 3, 201411 yr by Smokin
January 3, 201411 yr Revolver Brewery blood and honey American Ale is delightful! Brewed in Granbury Texas. Very smooth with hints of grapefruit and honey.
January 3, 201411 yr Revolver does an open house every Saturday from noon to 3 if you to be passing through the neighborhood.
January 20, 201411 yr Any G2 on Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA? I don't know what G2 means, but I like the Torpedo. Local Costco stocks it and I drink lots.
January 20, 201411 yr Great IPA! Highly recommend Delirium Tremens. Difficult to find, but worth the work to get it. https://www.deliriumbeer.com I'll second the vote for DT. I also knock back a lot of Bear Republic's Racer 5 IPA.
January 20, 201411 yr Porterhouse Devil's Half Acre -- a Dark IPA, 13.5 ABV, aged 6 months in Irish Wiskey casks. If you are ever in Dublin I highly recommend it.
January 21, 201411 yr second on the white wing, I dig it. Also, just had the Breckenridge Agave Wheat, and while slightly sweeter than other wheats, goes down smooth. 8/10.
January 22, 201411 yr I don't know what G2 means, but I like the Torpedo. Local Costco stocks it and I drink lots. G2 refers literally to Division Level or higher military intelligence.....
January 23, 201411 yr "G2"? Seriously? Nobody ######ing says that, you're trying too hard. I guess there's still a lot of us old fuckers still do....with out trying hard!
January 23, 201411 yr I guess there's still a lot of us old fuckers still do....with out trying hard! Wait, so saying "what's the G2" means "what's the intel?" Hell, I was in the Army, and I've never heard that before. Anyway, Torpedo good (my palate, not that sophisticated)
January 24, 201411 yr Wait, are you Army? Retired Army Wait, so saying "what's the G2" means "what's the intel?" Hell, I was in the Army, and I've never heard that before. Anyway, Torpedo good (my palate, not that sophisticated) You may have come in after I left 1969-2009....I bought Torpedo and its really good stuff! Thanks sputnik!
January 25, 201411 yr Currently drinking a McEwans Scotch Ale. It was a replacement for another Scottish ale I was looking for but couldn't find. Very good flavor. Almost has a caramel/malt flavor to it but not in a way that you forget your drinking a beer.
