"Interstellar" moves at a speed and distance that doesn't afford us, the moviegoers, the time to get complete answers along this fascinating journey. With such vast space to cover in the film, Nolan must play loose with the math and science equations, staying focussed instead on the many threats facing the talented cast. After all, the stakes are high; Earth is becoming uninhabitable and another planet must be found…right now. Like a rock skipped across the smooth waters of a lake, Nolan couldn't slow down to fully explain the mathematics of gravity, Einstein's theory of relativity, or how space travel was possible from a Midwestern farm to deep inside a wormhole. That deceleration would've halted the 3-time Oscar nominated director's story and sank this movie..."

Why was a booster rocket needed to reach Earth's orbit when the same damaged and waterlogged spaceship can apparently takeoff sideways and exit into orbit by simply advancing the throttles.

Obviously their TOLD was a lot more favorable after burning a couple years' worth of gas

Highly recommend 'Birdman'...

"Together, Keaton and Norton give movie audiences a volatile mix of personalities so convincingly testy that viewers will be left cringing at times and shaking their heads..."

"The Judge"

Robert Duvall, Robert Downey, Jr.. bug guy from Men in Black/detective from Law and Order: Criminal Intent, and the chick from Up in the Air.

You know this is fake right? The Harrison Ford shots are badly photoshopped (videoshopped?) from Ender's Game, the jumping into a cave is taken from some video game trailer, not sure where the other parts of from.

From "The Theory of Everything"...

"Eddie Redmayne (Les Miserables) portrays the brainiac Hawking and gives the strongest lead acting performance I've seen in years. Diagnosed with a form of ALS in the early 1960s at the age of 21, Hawking struggled with his debilitating disease as he pursued his Ph.D. and future wife, Jane, at the University of Cambridge. Redmayne convincingly showcases Hawking's physical limitations as the film ventures into theories on space-time continuums and relativity. Redmayne's physical transformation and slowed speech easily dwarfs Dustin Hoffman's autistic, Academy Award-winning gem in 1988's Rain Man."

I'd like to be the first to bravely volunteer to shoot a well aimed, full load of ordinance into the thermal exhaust port of that Death Star.

I'm thinking not the first...

or even first hundred...

But I'm a hater...

If you didn't already hate Dentists enough, here's another reason.

https://www.af.mil/News/ArticleDisplay/tabid/223/Article/555445/airman-sells-screenplay-to-paramount-pictures.aspx

For some, a visit to the dentist feels like a nightmare. But, for Capt. Eric Koenig, the 412th Aerospace Medicine Squadron dental flight commander, he hopes that it's his after-hours hobby that really keeps people awake at night.

For the last three years, the 13-year veteran has spent his nights and weekends writing screenplays. On this past Veterans Day, he accepted an offer from Paramount Pictures to purchase one of his scripts, "Matriarch," a story that revolves around two powerful, female characters. The screenplay sold for an amount in the mid six-figure range. [...] The week before his screenplay was bought, "Matriarch" was entered in a Launch Pad contest on a Hollywood insider information website. His piece made it into the top 25, attracting the attention of a marketing team made up of a manager, an agent and an entertainment lawyer.

FYI, screenplay writing is akin to professional sports. Thousands and thousands of people do their best every day, and very few get any compensation.
