sounds like your cc is one of the bad apples....sorry man
-
Based on your post, I'm guessing you haven't read a post in this thread........
AFPC said they will process in monthly batches per the PSDM

I doubt there are very many wing kings who will check "yes".
It's only on the Sq/CC section....so far 1 guy I know has, same base different squadron...haven't been able to find anyone else in that squadron to see if its a blanket thing the CC was doing or if it was just for him.
-
if PC was an option while deployed I would have done that instead of VSP.
-
anyone get the member is in excess box checked yes on their vsp app?
-
I'm guessing if they do the first batch at the end of the month, we will hear first week in march.
-
I just looked and "Referred to BPO" is what it says on the actual application. Referred to AFPC Voluntary Separation BPO is what it says in CMS. They appear to be the same thing.
phew
-
I'm at referred to BPO as well. I'm at a TFI unit, and wanted to make sure it was routing correctly, so I called the TFSC. They said it's at the final stop at AFPC and to expect 6 weeks, which I'm sure is the standard line.
so Referred to BPO is final stop? how come some say referred to BPO and some say AFPC Voluntary Separations BPO?
-
Has anyone made it past this point or is this where it will sit until they approve/deny the apps? I can't remember from last time.
Referred to AFPC Voluntary Separation BPO
You have me beat. I'm at:
Referred to BPO

I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but I just got off the phone with someone actually in AFPC and not with the TFSC and was told they will be waiving UPT ADSC's for the VSP.
excellent news
-
AFPC is classifying everyone in that program as an 11R. That came down last week from the heavens where the AFPC gods reside. One CC was walking around and asking individuals to check their Core ID in AMS because he wants to make sure AFPC is actually performing the updates. Call his actions on the spot checks.
wow, wtf...........
in positive news, Wg/CC recommended approval as well and now at BPO..
That wouldn't make any sense because MC-12s are "Critically Manned!!" ie they won't let anyone palace chase, vsp, pcs, etc. but don't worry, over the course of a day, in the mid-term future, the glitch will be fixed and there will be a few hundred pilots looking for jobs. Reference every other comment ever about the clowns at AFPC...
yep...short term solution to a long term problem....6 months from now AFPC will be like oh shit, we have 300 pilots now with no homes.....
-
Some aren't even classified as 11Rs, so I wouldn't bet on it.
i'd venture to guess 90% of us are only classified 11R in our DAFSC
-
Is the MC-12 considered an ALFA tour or a cross-flow MWS?
ask 10 different people, 5 will say Alfa, 5 will say MWS. I'd assume its an alfa since you do not incur an ADSC for IQT/MQT like other airframes
Someone speculated that the "overage" in 11Rs was actually mostly MC-12 guys. Thoughts?
don't think so. when this program goes away later this year, there will be 300 pilots looking for homes. I think way more people than that matrix says
-
Fly6584 is correct. However, be cautious with changing your core. AFPC seems to randomly change them without your explicit permission or knowledge. Could be bad JuJu if you're not actively monitoring it.
Bought me a second ALFA in a row when my original MWS porch couldn't even see me in their rolls. (Supposedly due to the Core ID being messed with)
yeah, I don't want my core changed....that's why i'm asking the question.
-
pm sent, thanks
-
what's the deal with core AFSC? can that be changed? 11M but PCS'd to the MC-12 along with many others and our home station sent an email saying they were changing our core AFSC to 11R

I was told straight up last night by my FLT/CC that taking the VSP "does not waive your pilot training commitment." I'm not sure if it's coming down the chain to tell everyone that, or what is going on. I was told that the AF would recoup that commitment in some way and possibly monetarily. It doesn't make sense to me that the AF would pay you to separate early then charge you for the commitment they let you out of. What happened to CSAF saying nobody would be subject to RIF without first having the option to voluntarily separate? When I pressed that point I was told I was absolutely still eligible to be RIFed.
I don't know what I believe anymore, other than the AF is plainly showing people why there are so many who want to jump off of this train wreck.
oh no, not your Flt/CC

just checked mine and it has also been sent up to Wg/CC
-
at this point it's just a waiting game....
if you want to apply, apply...if you don't, don't.
-
Wish they would amend PC and let you apply while deployed
- 1
-
so if you have no become VSP ineligible as a pilot, that means you aren't RIF eligible either.....
-
Why is that? I would rather VSP and then go Guard/Reserve. If you Palace Chase you miss out on the Separation Pay, but retain the option to go full time in the Guard/Reserve. Unless you aren't interested in flying for the airlines a TG or TR position should be just fine.
more likely to get approved, and I don't care about the separation pay.
-
if they allowed for PC apps while deployed I know at least half the people in my deployed unit would have gone that route instead of VSP.
-
just keep trying...it took me a while at i did it in the middle of the night
