-
so....what do we thing the odds are of getting results by the 22nd?

I bet if you called back you would get an entirely different answerI hope you're correct. I just called the TFSC, mainly for own twisted entertainment. Here's a brief synopsis of the conversation.
My question: What's the status of my VSP app? The AFPC website said mid-May in one place and within 10 days of May 1st in another place. No matter if you look at as 10 business days or calendar days, that time has expired.
(puts me on hold to look at my application status)
TFSC Rep: I took a look at your application and it says it still processing right now. We don't when they're going to process it. It might be delayed for another week or two. I think there's going to be new guidance coming out possibly delaying the processing further.
Me: What?
TFSC Rep: Well sir, there's so many rumors and PDSMs floating around now and I can't tell you anything for certain.
Me: Well, I'm also subject to the RIF in Oct and the new VSP window open next Thursday and I wouldn't be able to apply in the new VSP window because AFPC hasn't processed my first application. That would be unfair. So, there will be a new PDSM?
TFSC Rep: No, no. They'll just release an amended one updating the guidance.
Me: Ok. Air Force members call the TFSC to get help. We should be able to get reliable information here. Ok, right now, what can you tell me that's fact, something concrete that I can tell my family?
TFSC Rep: Well, sir. Unfortunately, nothing right now.
Me: Ok, thank you for your time.
We've reach full retard on this process long ago. I just reread this exchange before I'm about to post it and I'm laughing hysterically. But this shit is not funny
Also received this email after my phone call. Here's the official response from the email...
"Thank you for contacting myPers - Total Force Service Center.
All remaining VSP applications will be adjudicated after 1 May 14 to include those inspected by waiver authorities. AFPC intends to inform members of approval status not later than mid May."
Enjoy!

i'm really hoping for the typical AFPC friday afternoon push out of the approvals.....
-
That’s a load of crap and defies the intent stated by the CSAF. How does it make sense to have someone meet a RIF board that was denied VSP? Didn’t Welsh say this is the exact situation he wanted to prevent? Also, how does an ADSC wavier play a factor into this? Does this mean my application for VSP is invalid because I needed a wavier even though wavier authority was approved (yet not used as of present). AFPC is using semantics to go around what has been clearly stated by Welsh.
Disclaimer: My anger is not directed at you, AFPC is the intended target.
trust me, i'm in the same boat as you...just repeating what i was told when my cc posed the question....
-
I got an email from finance saying I’m eligible for the 2015 RIF and to get my records in order. So much for not being eligible for involuntary boards if you apply for a voluntary one. This process is downright criminal.
2 issues:
1. since its the FY15 RIF its technically a separate program and a different FY FM program
2. Our commander asked AFPC and they said if any vsp requires any sort of adsc waiver that part is invalid and you are eligible for an involuntary program.
-
Well so much for today....
Our commander has said he doesn't know what to tell us anymore since afpc says one thing to them and then does another...all he said now is that they can't hold out forever

To add more rumor to the fire...the sister sq CC got off the phone with afpc this morning and he said he strongly believes today is the day......so I give it a 5% chance

Here's hoping we start getting news today! You can take this for what it worth. My Sq/CC said today that he emailed the head of separations at AFPC last week inquiring about VSP notifications. What he was told, via email, was that they were taking the rest of last week to clear the queue whatever that means. He also said they stated that VSP notifications would start rolling out at the beginning of this week.
Seeing as how it was Wednesday he fired off another email today to get an update because in his words “Wednesday is not the beginning of the week”. He said he had received a reply stating that they had gotten through the queue and that VSP approvals would start being sent out tomorrow and they would continue through this weekend. Disapprovals would start being sent out at the beginning of next week.
Take it with a grain of salt, but my CC is a pretty straight shooter and I doubt he would potentially put this out there if he thought he was being fed a line of BS.
I can believe it. A guy in my sq got a call from the PC office this past Saturday morning telling him that his PC was approvedAs much as I want this to be true, I have a very difficult time believing that AFPC will be working over the weekend. If that were the case, we would have seen answers a long time ago...

Yeah our og pushed out an email last week saying the 12No offense meant to reference ground, but I think it would serve all of us well if we stopped putting stock in what sq/cc's are hearing. Mind you that wing commanders have no power in this buffoonery. My buddy's sq/cc told him that 14 May was the day we would get results and that day has come and gone. So much disappointment.

Looks like RIF board notifications are going out. I'm an 06'11B and my CC told me today that I'm eligible for RRF board and I need to have paperwork in by 28 May. Anybody else get word today?
we got CC notification last week.
-
more like it will be "denied because your year group/afsc are no longer eligible...good luck in the RIF"
-
watch the FY14 get denied and they say "we want to separate you in FY15, please apply for the FY15 VSP May 22"
-
Also, Sq/CC got clarification on being eligible for involuntary programs after applying for voluntary. If your VSP application required ANY ADSC waiver then the stipulation doesn't apply and you are eligible for the RIF and require a RRF.
That would mean that FY14 and FY15 VSP would be occurring simultaneously. What could go wrong? Also, to the best of my knowledge, you can only have one separation app in the system at a time be it VSP, PC, etc. I seriously hope that notifications do not extend into the FY15 window, which opens 22 May. What a disaster.
I'm really hoping that we know by the end of the week...but based on their performance thus far i'm not counting on it. Logic would tell you that there needs to be results for FY14 VSP before the FY15 VSP window opens.

I've got to say, I've tried to be patient through the 2+ month delay from when we first should have gotten a response, but this day to day waiting is driving me crazy. I hope I'm not the only one constantly checking DOS in every possible location on vMPF, AMS, PRDA and wherever else it's listed.
Give us an answer already!!!

was there something in the PSDM that said if you apply for a voluntary program and are denied you are ineligible an involuntary program? Or was that just from a Q&A and nothing official?
-
