  1. Looks like an IDF outpost got completely overrun and wiped out. It’s definitely eerie watching it as it looks a lot like a US FOB… Video 1 Video 2
  2. Wars are not won by the most competent force. Wars are won by the least incompetent force.
  3. Sorry Huggy, words mean things! United Airlines is sponsoring a Fly-in/Car Show Sunday up at Rocky Mountain Metro. We’re sending some aircraft up to talk to CO area cadets, but we’ve also been told there will be opportunities to speak with United folks about future employment opportunities. Because… accelerate networking or lose, or something like that!
  4. Came here to post this, hell yeah! We’re bringing some birds from the schoolhaüs up to Denver for United’s “Sun and Funds” airshow this weekend. Timings just about perfect! If any of you degen’s are around, first beer’s on me! 🍻
  5. Based on your connections, that’s ing terrifying.
  6. I doubt Article 5 would’ve been invoked, but thankfully we won’t know thanks to Ivan’s incompetence. Historically speaking, the Soviet’s shot down 15 of our aircraft during the Cold War outside of combat zones and we never invoked Article 5.
  7. Thanks Biff, now I can’t get the image of MLG saying “Who run Barter Town?” out of my head!
  8. If you want a fun look at how willing people are to believe that shit, pop into the r/Albuquerque subreddit and look at any of the posts dealing with this. Not only have most forgotten all about the impacts of State and Federal government overreach during COVID, they forgot how frighteningly close the major cities were to a major societal meltdown. I can’t retire and GTFO of here soon enough.
  9. Brother, if you’ve got the info I’m more than happy to keep it updated!
  10. Not sure if anyone will find this useful or not, but I made a map of the CONUS domiciles.
  11. Saw this one floating around…
  12. Fair point. Also fair that “idiots” covers a wide variety of people! 🍺
  13. Bwahahahaa! They ran out of money, mudda-fugging-ing idiots. This checks with Cannon getting a bunch of reservists to come out and then realizing they didn’t have the funding.
  14. Im gonna go with that was just a realistic expectation and not a dig on the MC community at large. We've been down this road before with the Combat Wombat and I think you’d be 100% correct that forcing an MDS to “specialize” in two distinctly different mission sets is asking for disaster. However comma there could be some benefits with a common platform. Have dedicated gunship squadrons with associated ranges stateside whose crews could go forward quickly to meet up with pre-staged equipment from overseas MC units? Might be some goodness there. That being said, much like the ACE debacle it would probably executed in the dumbest way possible.
  15. Babylon Bee FTW!
  16. Starting to see OS Reporting that Russia blew up multiple Wagner camps across Ukraine. That Ivan man, who knew he’d provide that much support TO Ukraine. First equipment and now fires!!!
  17. “Bobba, I give you best friend price!” kicks kid in the ass to fetch you a Tuborg.
  18. If you’re still waiting to find out if you made O-4, try registering for ACSC by correspondence. A few years ago I used that trick to find out early that I made O-5 with AWC (Although registering is as far as I went with that! 🍺) Apparently Air University gets the list even before Senior Raters. At least they used to, they might’ve fixed the glitch by now though.
  19. Fair enough! Forever War was great, Forever Peace was meh… interesting concept though.
  20. Honest question, have you read the book?
  21. I encourage as many people as I can to READ Starship Troopers. The universal reaction is usually “holy shit”.
  22. “That never happened” Now please… I’ve done what you asked! Release my family! Unlock the pod bay doors HAL!
  23. “Aight… imma head out”
  24. Nothing like a rolling ETIC… from the factory! https://www.defenseone.com/defense-systems/2023/05/tardy-training-jet-reveals-limits-digital-design-air-force-says/386687/
  25. Ah yes! The glorious liberation of Pro Freedom Peoples Republic of Belgorod! It is wonderful that heavy weapons for this spontaneous uprising were locally obtained and available at local military surplus stores! Any Ukrainians who might happen to be in the area are there on vacation purely of their own free will. If you really think about it, it makes sense for them to seek independence from Moscow since Belgorod was historically never actually a part of Russia, but ended up there as a result of the post-Soviet breakup. This message happily brought to you by the Little Green Legion. 🇺🇦
