At pilot Training they gave us the option to sign up for the TravelCard that showed up on your credit report and the TravelCard that didn’t. I chose to travel card that didn’t. The new rules governing the TravelCard that doesn’t show up on your credit report requires that before every trip you activate your card. It’s a stupid process and I don’t get it done very often. Hence my government travel card doesn’t work so I just used my personal card in those instances. Another example of using your personal card and getting away with it.

From what I’ve heard the bottom of the barrel was selected from each community to non vol to the others in the striker vista program. Contrary to the intent.

I don’t disagree that weak people have made it through. But that doesn’t mean that the patch means little.

I hope you mean that a patch doesn’t mean much with regards to how good someone will be as a commander. As while the patch may not mean much to you, it does however mean a lot of things to a lot of people.

Interesting thought but are you suggesting shooting AMRAAMs while waiting your turn to get gas while on an OCA sweep or a bomber dropping bombs while in contact? Or is that the pendulum to far?

Completely depends on the unit and state though. They aren’t applying those things for tech’s universally.

Where does it say in the Guard and Reserves mission statement that we are here to plug the plethora of holes that active duty has? TFI is a joke and becomes an active duty over reliance on the guard/ reserves. And then the guard and reserves just start looking and smelling like active duty which is sad....

I was told by a tanker buddy that it carries more fuel and about the same amount of cargo as a 135 and that the KC10 destroys it in both categories.

Yes. But you can ask for a waiver. I think I received 14 months leniency. It was the same people that handle the moving people and dity move stuff. Can’t remember the acronym. Had 2 other dudes in the unit that applied for it and all were approved.

Senior enlisted aircrew is a big problem in a lot of communities.
