  1. ART's used to get a second CAC (not sure if that's still a thing) and they would leave it in the computer and go home. Genius.
  2. My old CC was so disgusted with my flight cap that he threw it out so I had to get a new one. 🤣
  3. Silencer would be useful in these situations.
  4. Locking gas cap is critical when you're north of the line on the hot/crazy scale.
  5. The KC-767 does not have a window/boom pod. JASDF KC-767J: Italian KC-767A:

  7. Maybe the Persian culture, but hard to say the overall Islamic culture fits that description...what with all the coups, regime changes, and civil wars in the region (Arab spring, ISIS, etc). But, over all I agree with your sentiment. And Iran has arguably the most progressive society/culture out of all the problem spots in the region. They were very westernized pre-1979 and actually have an education and infrastructure so out of all the shit holes in the world they would be the most primed to accept a democracy and make it work.
  8. As of July 2, 2025: According to the Buffett Indicator, the Stock Market is Significantly Overvalued. Based on today's updated data, the Market Cap to GDP Ratio is 207.4%.As of today, the Total Market Index is at $62,126 billion, which is about 207.4% of the last reported GDP. Wasn't familiar with the "Buffett Indicator" before...but, thoughts?
  9. Good point, shouldn't have said manned...but for those who think space based assets are "safe." Having aviation platform based AWACS still is viable.
  10. For those that think manned C2ISR is at a higher risk than space based: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/china-strikes-hard-chinese-satellite-pulverizes-starlink-with-a-2-watt-laser-36-000-km-from-earth/ar-AA1HbXzq
  11. Let's not forget about the mighty KC-707. https://theaviationist.com/2025/06/13/israel-attack-iran-details/
  12. Apparently a considerable commando force infiltrated Iran prior and took out their SAMs with drones and other tactics prior to the air strikes. 13. Leading edge devices were out, so that should be Flaps 1 in a 787. Not sure if that's a common takeoff config or not. Video was suspiciously silent of jet engine noises except for the sound of the RAT, so maybe dual engine failure?
  14. I stayed past my UPT commitment because COVID caused my CJO to disappear (don't burn bridges on your way out BTW). After another PCS, 3 years later, I managed to get out "again" and Palace Fronted over to the ANG. I'll probably go back to full time here in the near future to get my AD retirement because it just makes sense numbers wise. Purely a long term financial decision. QOL is far superior at my airline job over AD.
  15. Col. Robin Olds (right) with Col. Daniel James (left) in Thailand, c. 1966. James was deputy commander for operations and later vice wing commander of the 8th Tactical Fighter Wing. Together they were nicknamed ā€œBlackman and Robin.ā€ https://airandspace.si.edu/multimedia-gallery/110330-f-dw547-022jpg
