  1. Doubtful. More than likely they call it Basic Housing PAY and then you are taxed on it. It wouldn't be a flat rate pay increase across the board nor would it change your base pay, therefore no increase in your retirement. Just lube up bro, they are only trying to fvck you. 2. In no way will they let this benefit us. But that would be a nice incentive! Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
  3. Thanks congress. Preciate' that. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
  4. I used to live in LA many years ago but hadn't been back. Went into LAX for an interview and was surprised at how third world that place had become... Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
  5. I don't know man, I'm kinda hoping California just kinda falls off into the sea. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
  6. Learjetter, how long ago did you sit on the board? Was it a Maj or Lt Col board? Thanks for the insight. The rate now for Pilots is damn near 95%, so hoping for a miracle cause the AF has practically shut all voluntary paths to the ANG outside of 6 months. 7. Thanks guys! Good discussion. Really hoping in my case the board helps my family out and I can continue my career a long time in the ANG. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
  8. Thanks man! I'm wondering how the board deals with these Do Not Promote letters. So far everyone I know who got a P and wrote a letter was passed over, but I don't know how solid their records were. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
  9. Chang, I love you bro, but I can't take you seriously! Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
  10. Because I can turn down continuation, separate early from my UPT ADSC, move to help my parents and in-laws and join the local ANG unit. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
  11. I think I understand the way they score PRFs at the board, but what about people who write letters? I got a P on my PRF (score on the WG/CC hating me!) but my record is pretty good. Lots of #1s and 2s in Sq and Grp (small grp about 32-36 CGOs). How do boards look at Do Not Promote letters when the record is pretty strong? My plan is to mention that my father in law was just diagnosed with brain cancer and nasal cancer and my mother in law is handicapped and cannot take care of him. I would try a Hardship Sep, but like I said my Wing/CC hates me and would not support. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
  12. What's the DP allocation rate for Major? 70% or 75%? Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
  13. So glad we found a solution to the fighter pilot shortage. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
  14. I thought it was end of March? Did they move it up? Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
  15. At this rate the whole list will be exhausted before the end of August. It's just an indication of how many Majors are flooding out the door at the end of their UPT commitment. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
  16. Dang! The wheels are coming off. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
  17. Got kicked back for 1) not having an ISR listed, 2) having some sort of code for deployment availability. Can't remember which code it was. 3) I had just had an emergency appendectomy 3 weeks before my last PFT so I was exempt from cardio and sit ups. Apparently that is also a no-go for PC. So I am just pushing to get passed over for Major rather than dealing with a no chance PC app. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
  18. I took my whole family off tricare prime just so we don't have to deal with the base. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
  19. I'm interested in this as well. This whole process is a continuous changing process. The first time I applied I didn't even have an ISR and it made it through to SAF/PC . The third time it was kicked back by the PALACE CHASE office for. It having an ISR listed on my paperwork... can't wait to get out. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
  20. They are about to find out there is a pending MAF shortage too. But don't tell the Generals, they still think morale is "Pretty darn good". Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
  21. This whole thing was a MAF driven tasker to gauge interest. It hadn't been approved by anyone of any importance. The earliest they were projecting, if it even happens, would be 2017. In the meantime they are flooding the FTUs with brand new 2Lts who have a 10 year prison sentence with no possibility of parole. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
  22. Really good to know about the timeline though! Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
  23. While it is true that only SAF/PC is the deciding authority, I haven't seen anyone (11X) outside of 12 months approved unless that person was passed over. The functionals are telling people outside of 6 months is still a long shot. I know of a guy who was disapproved asking for around 6 months... Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
