What! What the fuck are you talking about? I think Navs can provide very insightful feedback on any number of topics. Why just the other day I was telling the pilot that When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve [insert full text Declaration of Independence] And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor which is why I think you are completely full of shit! Classic Thread - Why go Air Force?
The Navy flies BAMS (That is the Global Hawk with an anchor). Fire Hawk was canceled. Army and Marine UAV operators are usually forward deployed in theater. So who has the preponderance of UAV and Cyber operators conducting Distinguished Warfare from CONUS?

Because the Navy won't give medals out for "Distinguished Warfare". WTF is that, fighting a war in a tuxedo? In case you are counting votes, I went through 1.5 years of Navy training and one deployment run by the Navy. 200 something years of tradition unhindered by progress. They brag about flexibility because they start every day without a plan.

USAA
I've stated on here before that I stopped using USAA because their prices were not competitive in home or car insurance in Colorado Springs, and their customer service was so bad that my wife still gets high blood pressure when they are mentioned. They have a great reputation, but they are not what they were back when my Dad's day.

I'm living with opposite ends of the spectrum. My Guard unit just sent the word that our blues can go back into the back of the closet. Meanwhile, AETC/Goodfellow have announced that we will continue doing what we are doing until we get clearer direction. As if the Chief of Staff was vague...

I think Danger41 just self-identified as a C model driver. Danger - for JDAM deliveries, the pilot has to hold a standard red laser pointer over his cranium while circling the target. That and a bushnell rifle scope on the HUD can replace a pod.

I actually wonder if this is an attempt by Iran (not the current US administration) to sway US voters. The thought would be that Iran is better off with "4 more years". They publicly state that they are working on talks with the US. US voters are swayed (in this scenario) by the thought that one side is more likely to talk. Iran's Nuclear program is a big deal, but it isn't the driving issue in this election. In the end, I think it just re-enforces what an abject failure we have had in our attempts to modify Iran's behavior.

Me too. I'm on the O-5 list and going through training to become an Intel Officer. I don't have an AGR yet, but I'm hoping to pick one up once I finish school. Where are you located? I'm looking at all the options in case a full time position doesn't open up.

I think most of the discussion has revolved around what may or may not occur if the war starts. I don't think anyone here has advocated starting another war in the middle east; we've been there and done that long enough. I think most in the US military should also realize that Iran has the capacity to make a conflict extremely painful for everyone involved. I think most of those points were also made previously here

Add to that, our current "undisclosed location" in the middle east is within scud range. I could see an evacuation of "non-essential" personnel very early in any hostilities. Then, its MOP3 and the 3 beer a day cards go away.

I don't hold it against the crew of the Memphis Bell or the guy who finished 100 over NVN. I know some guys in the second group. I admire that. The first question, as I read it was "Should I get out if it looks like we might get into a war" The crew of the Memphis Bell and the guys who went "Downtown" did their part. The question here was, can I get out of doing my part. I would go. That's what I trained for and I would take the opportunity, knowing that it would be a lot harder than anything since early Desert Storm. To be honest though, the active duty made that decision for me last year, so I won't be going anywhere, unless they need ANG Intel support. Then I'll pack my Combat PowerPoint and head over.
