  1. to those dudes. The military is a bizarre mix of the most professional men and the laziest of shit bags. It's like a balance must be maintained so for every true red-blooded badass American, there's some worthless fucking piece of trash waste of space. Thankfully we have professionals like the rescue guys on our side. Coast Guard rescue included.
  2. It's the cheapest fighter to operate per hour and is loved by ground commanders around the world. Of course we'll get rid of it.
  3. I don't think you can still call that a landing.
  4. Does anyone have the details of Phoenix Reach available?
  5. And then waste the rest. I just can't make this "deal" compute in my mind. $225,000 minus taxes in exchange for 10 more years... Your wife could get a job waiting tables part time and make more money than that. I guess it's a good deal if you were staying in anyway. If this was the reason you decided to stay, I suggest you rethink your objectives.
  6. Queep is cancer. Sorry, no lessons learned from this crash until we fix the paragraph spacing on page 83.
  7. If any of you have never been to Oktoberfest, please go as soon as possible. And let me know. I'll meet you there. It may have been the best weekend of my life. Not sure.
  8. Being lazy is easy when there's no work to do. It's not some magical O-6 revelation that we'll have to do less work when there's less money, less jets, less people, and less deployments. I bet some of those profits make General with foresight like that.
  9. Not sure how that would work out around these crews. My guess....
  10. Everyone should get ready for that. to the PJs
  11. Do you wake up in the morning with the intent to be a douchebag or does it just happen?
  12. Wire it for something and then leave....
  13. It kills me there's this much discussion on PAPIs and glideslopes. The weather was literally clear and a million with nearly calm winds.
  14. This is actually a very common response after a crash. Under new, and extremely high stress situations, people tend to revert to something they know - i.e. get your bags and get off the plane. It's also why every professional interviewed after an incident says they "just fell back on their training." That type of irrational behavior has been documented at nearly every major crash with survivors. It's interesting if you care anything about psychology.
  15. I can't take credit for finding this. Not sure if this is him. Not sure if anyone still cares. Probably not.
  16. And wayyy more in 'Crossing Over.' Good movie, too.
  17. Like this asshole walking across the Grand Canyon?
  18. Found this surprising. http://money.msn.com/home-insurance/best-home-insurance-companies Also, this. http://www.jdpower.com/content/press-release/uj0Qpsp/2012-u-s-national-homeowners-insurance-study.htm
  19. Is it this guy? http://projects.militarytimes.com/citations-medals-awards/recipient.php?recipientid=43254 Caveat: I do not know PYB or the guy listed in this DFC citation. Information was found by a simple Google search. I don't know if they are the same person.
  20. We have ASI on one property. No issues at all, but we've never had to file a claim either.
  21. Ironically, the quality of her answer might actually be the answer to the question.
  22. From a blog post May 2010: Edit: Thankfully on the first of June I was informed I did get the assignment and will be leaving soon to fly Reapers. I'm stoked!
  23. What the fuck is that supposed to mean? Edited to let you try and explain.
