  1. The 463L system was implemented in April, 1963. That's where it gets its name. L stands for logistics.
  2. Also closed with Dave Devine. Got 3.25 with no points. No hassle and a great dude to work with.
  3. Do these credit cards recognize the commissary as a grocery store?
  4. I am curious what the sentiment is here on BO about what's going on in this country IRT race and policing. The vast majority of what I see from our Government, the media, celebrities, civil rights leaders and academic leaders can be summed up as misleading at best. I can't think of a bigger issue that has been more divisive and more dangerous to our country than this. Discussions about racial issues have deteriorated so much, that you can't mention certain facts or ask certain questions without being labeled a racist. That is very intentional and is meant to quiet the other side of the argument. Label me as you wish, but I think there are some questions that need answered. Almost 7000 black people are murdered in this country every year. Most of them are murdered by other blacks. Where are the protests when these people are murdered? The slogan "black lives matter" is absolutely true. So, where is the outrage when 20 blacks are killed by other blacks in Chicago in one weekend? Racism exists in this country. Why are white people in this country the only ones that are racist? It is ok for minorities to run around and call whites whatever they want with no charge of racism from anyone. Why is that? Look at the Michael Brown case. I'm white. If I went outside and robbed a store, attacked a police officer in his car and tried to take his service weapon, I would be shot and killed. Why are people's criminal behaviors ignored in these situations? How does rioting, burning down communities, threatening police officers, assassinating 2 police officers (who were minorities) further race relations in this country? It doesn't. It deepens the racial divide and actually makes people racist. Police aren't targeting unarmed, young black men and looking to murder them. Police put their lives on the line every day in all of the worst places this country has to offer. Yet, they are being painted as nothing more than racist murderers. This is all orchestrated. It has to be. My question is why? And who gains by propagating this massive lie? This is a great article and is worth the read. http://www.city-journal.org/2014/eon1222hm.html
  5. I have heard there may be an issue with that company. Rama World is still open. I spoke with them last week.
  6. A simple Google search and you get this. http://monitoringtimes.com/militarycallsignlist-apr09.pdf
  7. Baseops has a resident expert on topics like this. Send Scoobs a PM. He will set you on the right path.
  8. The E's should always buy the first round. The first 6 rounds come out of the cooler that I bring with me on every TDY. That first round is handed out in the "U drive it" while we drive around for 4 hours because the Nav can't find the hotel. The AC should always buy the first round at the bar/restaurant.
  9. This ain't no shit. I've been around the Herc my entire life. My dad started flying 130s in 1976. He was a career officer and served for 28 years. He was the commander of the 39th while the squadron was at Pope and later served as the Commandant of CADS as it stood up in the mid 90s. I've seen the Herc in good times and bad. I was in the crowd on July 1st, 1987 when one crashed performing a LAPES airdrop at Fort Bragg. I also witnessed green ramp during some of its busiest years. I've seen the Herc do it all. I'm now in the Arkansas Guard. I've got 4000 hours in Es and Hs and teach here in the FTU. The Herc has taken me to 30 countries and 46 states in just over 11 years. She's never failed me and she never failed my dad. Happy B day to the War Horse and thanks for the memories. Except for the hangovers. Those have sucked.
  10. My guess is there was a security forces guy out playing the bad guy for the exercise. Somebody saw him and called it in. The same security forces guy got all suited up and went looking for himself.
  11. Try Little Rock. It's light out from around 0630 to 2100 this time of year. I recommend Buffalo Wild Wings but if you are feeling adventurous, go with The Flying Saucer downtown. It's a great time fighting over the one hot chick that you'll find down there.
  12. Good lord. Do they have a good price on tampons? You need some.
  13. I am not in the unit but I am stationed at Little Rock. The reserve unit (22AF Det 1) is being renamed the 913 AG. They are currently flying the H model. I would imagine, most of the current folks would crosstrain.
  14. Pics of this NCO will help in determining any possible issues.
  15. The taller tapping of vans is true. Not only did they have to be taller tapped, you couldn't mix blue ops vans with green mx vans. That was at Ramstein. We also had to have the ropes on the aircraft chocks crossed in a bowtie fashion and the power cord running to the aircraft had to be in a straight line to the aircraft. It couldn't have a bend in it or any slack at all.
  16. Little Rock? The Guard has a future here. The Reserves keep changing direction...
  17. Would you consider it tacky and distasteful if somebody was taking selfies and laughing like that at one of your family members funeral/memorial? I damn sure would. This is the President of the United States on the world's stage. That narcissistic fuck doesn't know any better. I guess you don't learn manners being a community organizer in a shit hole like Chicago.
