Charlie Sheen: shot his fiancee, admitted to hospital at least once for overdosing, multiple domestic violence charges, felony charges filed, threatens a date to the point she locks herself in the bathroom, numerous interviews and very visible public presence as he continually shows his true nature. His father spent years badmouthing the US; never served his Country. Maj Kopacek: never seen him, probably never heard an interview with him, read his quote on AF.com concerning the allegations on flying low. Fair amount of combat time flying the Viper serving his Country. Video shows he drug a 4 ship too low on a flyover. Yep,... comparing Sheen to Kopacek seems real valid. -

To continue to pick nits,... you must be 1000' above the highest obstacle within a 2000' horizontal radius. The press box was more than likely not the highest obstacle within 2000'. The stadium lights probably were. If so, he was more than 984' too low. -

A very over-used cliche. I've led dozens of flyovers. And I've done a lot better than "break even". Many perks have come with doing them. Some of them good, some of them fantastic. Some of them were personal satisfaction, like leading Missing Man flyover for guys I knew. Some were "materialistic" benefits. And in each case... I was getting to fly. In a jet. In fact, I usually was The Lead. That ain't bad. In any case,... I'll be sure to double check my altitude at the "target". But I'll keep doing flyovers. -

4 of these on Lake Amistad for rent would do a lot for getting volunteers to KDLF,... me thinks.

Too bad they decided to put the white "retro" paint job on a -C model and it's ugly-ass intakes, GPS blister, and VHF penis. ... not that I'd vote to paint any of OUR 13 -A models and their black paint jobs.

If you're located in SLO, that means you probably have been a flight attendant on Sky West/United Express (e.g. "stewardess",... nothing wrong with that term, since I'm over 40. Actually,... nothing wrong with that term, period). So... you were probably flying on the EMB-120, or even the 1900 when they had those. If so, you were probably flying with a mixed bag of experience. Chances are, if you knew the experience of some of the pilots, you'd have been a bit put off or surprised. Not that they were not capable. But they were not 3000 hour pilots either. Don't know what your "scary experiences were, but this website is primarily made up of military pilots. You probably won't find many military pilots at Sky West. The backgrounds are dramatically different, and probably won't do much for you research.

When you go to the FSDO to get a new certificate/rating based on your military credentials, I recommend you bring the following: Form 8 Form 942 Flying History Report (the one that shows all the aircraft you've flown, and the times) Your current 1042 - if you have a current FAA Medical, bring that, as many FSDO's do not realize that that 1042 can suffice for a Class III Medical, as per the changes last year. Filled out 8710 (see link above). Any other FAA certificates you have. Your USAF Aeronautical Orders: your SARM should be able to give you a copy. Also, remember to ask to have them put "English Proficient" on the back of your new certificate. And, remember... the FAA will not take walk ins. You must make an appt.

For mailing via US Postal Service from the US, how long is it taking to get to Balad? Any different for anything larger than a letter?

The cost of all the worthless deployment gear that I get issued,... plus the fact that our contract "supply" store, IBExpress, is charging a ripoff amount on said gear,... is certainly more significant than these military bands. Get rid of the Marine Corps' President's Own, and the White House will hire someone else. No cost savings.

I understand the Eagle Card is in use at Balad, Kandahar, and Bagram. That said, can you still use cash (US dollars) everywhere on these bases? Pros/cons for card vs cash?

Good,... except the 4-ship at the end was entirely too fast,... well over 350 KIAS. They should be hunted down and strung up. Maybe we can get Whitney out of rehab long enough to do the 2012 Super Bowl. Whoever chose Aguilera needs to go to a new career... may I suggest 1-800-TRUCKMASTERS. BTW, Christina,... maybe you should spend more time practicing the lyrics, and less time snacking on jelly donuts. You've changed a bit, girlfriend.

Flyinrock: thanks for the update. Probably can't make it, but tell YoYo Huggy says hi and congrats. Jughead: 2xT-38's arrive Wednesday around 1400, callsign Roper 41. If there is a place where anyone interested in applying can come out to discuss, would you set it up? Club, on base pub, OG briefing room/theatre, etc... I have a laptop with powerpoint and some good videos with sound, so that would enhance things if there is A/V. Bonus if we can order food & drink too. Your drinks are on me. Let's shoot for Wed evening around 1700. I'll pm you my cell phone number. I'll delete some stuff since my mailbox is full. If you cannot coord it, don't sweat it... I'll figure something out.
