T-6 Cockpit
Definitely do not need it. Worry about Ops Lims/Bold Face if you want to worry about anything. If you really want to get ambitious you could memorize the Notes Warnings and Cautions for all the bold face, but I wouldn't.

Air Conditioning in fighters
Sure you do, open the swing window, you're GTG.

Public view of pilots
When I get the thanks, I usually just say it's my pleasure...which it is.

Military Equal Opportunity (MEO)
Just make sure you do your homework and get all your poop in one basket. Try to anticipate all the questions they might ask.

Public view of pilots
I've had folks pick up the tab both anonymously and in person, several hand shakes and "thanks". My wife could care less except she knows it's what I want to do and makes me happy...she does make smart a$$ed "fly boy" comments sometimes though :D [ 03. Problems at the USNA
How could women AT the AFA have been sexually assaulted OVER THE PREVIOUS DECADE? In fact, in no case were they ignored or ostracized...man I guess you can write WTF ever you want regardless of how little it may resemble reality... [ 24. February 2006, 10:31: Message edited by: zrooster99 ]

Need GA Mic for my Headset...
Sounds good...I got a hold of a U-174 adapter made by Sigtronics from Chief Aircraft...tried it in a TONE in the Iso dock today. My headset would recieve, but not transmit. The headset ops checked good in the family Tri-Pacer recently so it has to be the adapter. Any thoughts? Maybe I need one that's low impedence? Boom, if yours worked I'll buy it off you. PM me and we can work out the details. [ 16. February 2006, 16:26: Message edited by: zrooster99 ]

Radio etiquette
The funny thing is that I used to call Clearance Delivery with "IFR to Waco" and I actually had a couple LSI sim instructors tell me that was wrong and teach me the "clearance on request" phraseology...

Awesome, you are officially "the man"! Seriously, thanks.

Need GA Mic for my Headset...
Revived this thread because now that I'm in the T-1 track I thought it would be nice to use my Bose Headset, but it has the GA plugs. Can someone tell me what the correct adapter is and give me a good place to find one (apart from EBAY)? If you've got a part number, great, but a correct technical name or description would work too. If Helicopter to GA works (see above) does the inverse (GA to Helicopter) work if you're going the other way (STS)?

Silly question about ops limits
Going to have to throw the flag on that one. No they're not. At least at XL all the BF and Ops Lims are all caps for the T-6. I'm looking at the original I got back at the beginning of Phase 1 right now. Oh and hyphen this [ 05. February 2006, 15:40: Message edited by: zrooster99 ]

Silly question about ops limits
Yep, every hyphen etc... We just had a dude hook his form check because he misspelled a word. A little secret (at least for the T-6, not sure about the tweet) everything's capitalized. Also, you're allowed to leave out the 1. 2. etc before each bold face item for example 1. PCL IDLE 2. BRAKES AS REQUIRED is ok without the 1 and 2. Just make sure you standardize within your class.

Best Officer position besides pilot
What?! Some do, not most. Almost every AF base has Security Forces...though my brother is due to PCS soon and according to him the only options he had for a 2Lt were Korea, Saudi, or a 1 year to Iraq.

Best Officer position besides pilot
I enjoyed being a MX officer, pretty rewarding if you like airplanes and getting your hands dirty every now and then (no you're not required to, but it helps). My brother is a security forces Lt and loves it.

Airliner Intercepts
Scoobs, I don't think you should accuse anyone of that. Also I think your punctuation was all wrong. It should have read: "You follow my posts, you have problems". This is patently obvious. [ 28. January 2006, 17:59: Message edited by: zrooster99 ]
