You have some valid points and I will ALWAYS have sympathy and concern for innocent civilians. When I say kill them all I am obviously talking about the terrorists not the Palestinians in general. Israel is far from perfect in this situation and much has been made of the conditions in Gaza but cutting off the heads of babies is a completely different realm and drastic actions have to take place. The "where do they go" question does not have an easy answer, at first Egypt opened their border but as of the morning they have moved to restrict the flow of evacuation fearing a mass exodus that would lay a massive humanitarian crisis at their feet. If Israel intends to completely destroy Hamas they will likely completely destroy Gaza. The other big question is what about Iran? Will we turn another blind eye? Will we be able to restrain Israel?

You are already getting down votes because our liberal friends are still "mostly happy with Biden." I've been watching Al Jazeera this morning to see how the narratives are shaping up. At one point they were interviewing the main spokesman for Hamas Ghazi Hamad. How can anyone down vote when the Hamad himself admits to the BBC that Iran gave its support to the Palestinian terror group to launch its surprise multi-front attack on Israel. What did you think would happen when you handed Iran $6B? The Al Jazeera reporter actually tried to press him on the subject of killing civilians, the reply from Hamad..."yes it is wrong to attack and kill civilians like the Israelis have done, we are attacking settlers which is different as they are war criminals."

Updates over night and this morning match what we have discussed above, Israel is aiming to evacuate all Israeli civilians around Gaza over the next 24 hours. They are about to go full Leroy Jenkins on Gaza with the stated mission to "kill every terrorist and destroy all Hamas strongholds in the Wicked City." Hezbollah will almost certainly pitch into the fight. As the Israeli's are labeling this "our 9/11" it seems apparent they will go the extra mile this time. Mossad has to be reeling, what an epic intelligence blunder.

Pivot back to Trump? There may be a few MAGA hardliners here but most of the conservatives on here are moderates who have repeatedly said we don't like or want Trump. Sadly, it looks as if we are going to have him as the GOP nominee. Begrudgingly I hear a few DNC folks admit Biden is mentally deficient but rarely does your side admit the far left DNC is just as bad as the Proud Boys...and your mainstream leaders like the Clintons are drifting ever closer to Communism. I will however give Bill some props for coming out last week admitting the border is in crisis and now magically Biden wants to build a wall. Those props are limited because he did it for political reasons, trying to save Biden, rather than stop the invasion at our border.

I think the age of the ring knockers is mostly dead...diminished for sure. I think I view it more as a stepping stone, he thinks the things they do are cool and he is flattered they reached out to him. He is a good athlete but is a nerd at heart. He was selected for the Experimental Science Robotics Team which placed second in the nation last year. FWIW I view MIT (and Stanford), as better than Ivy in the science and engineering world and I think most others do as well. Interestingly he got an email from Dartmouth today.

My boy wants to be a pilot (god help me), and trying to get some current information but I am obviously MANY years removed from the process. He has the grades and other resume items and we have been told he will likely get a nom to USAFA next year, obviously still has to be selected. He has a lot of schools chasing him including two Ivy league schools (MIT and Brown), which is where I would prefer he go but I don't want to selfish and want him to have the best chance at achieving his dream. I did ROTC and was the only dude in my class that got a UPT slot, the year prior they had six fall out slots and were literally walking down the hall asking the seniors if anyone wanted to go to UPT...probably a bad method as only one of the six graduated and got his wings. Looking at all the threads here I am tracking on the board process and items that will increase his score and chances. He is getting his PPL this summer at 16 and I will make sure he builds plenty of hours should he go to a University. Do USAFA grads compete at the Pilot selection boards? I ask because in the old days everyone who was medically qualified and graduated from USAFA went to UPT, is that still the case or does it change year to year. I recall two girls showing up for UPT a few months after I started, both were USAFA grads and were FORCED to got to UPT, they both SIE's after a month. I also know of a high profile USAFA athlete that had to go see the three star to plead his case NOT to go to UPT. Appreciate any info so I can help him make the best choice.
