There's a short video/animated GIF somewhere out there that shows a pistol flying through the air when being drawn from one of these holsters. I'll see if I can find it...

It's another iteration of the old "Pager Pal." I would not buy into it, there are too many factors involved that could wrong when drawing a weapon. And how would you draw when seated (like driving)? I also would not want to have to use both hands to draw if possible. Get a good IWB holster. This ain't one.
  5. To that I agree, he is the one that made her SecState; and he is more about his image than anything else. But given the loss of the presidency, House and Senate I think the Democrats will do anything to protect her, especially considering her huge cult following of mindless liberals...
  6. I suspect we'll see a Proclamation 4311-type announcement from Mr. Obama before he departs Pennsylvania Avenue. Inasmuch as I would love to see Hillary held accountable for mishandling classified information, I doubt it will happen. It's a small sacrifice, but as long as we don't have to endure "Madam President" for the next four years (or longer), it's one I'd happily make. She is done politically, Obama's "legacy" will be greatly diminished (plus, Trump gets to blame him for all the nation's problems for the next four years, isn't that the protocol?), the GOP has to figure out how to unfuck itself after this major message from the people, the Democrats are going to be hard-pressed to recover from this (although they didn't lose the House and Senate by that much), and most of all, people are no longer swallowing the media bullshit that's been crammed down their throats over the past few months/years. All that's left is to cue The Who...

Actually, FCGs have sections on leave travel for military personnel that most people who don't deal with APACS on a regular basis are completely unaware of. But I do know from firsthand experience that some cruise stops require them as I worked a request earlier this year for someone in my office who needed one... And expecting the cruise line to be aware of this is and notify military customers is unrealistic. That said, have I ever seen it be an issue if someone don't submit an APACS request? Most likely not, chances are you will never need it; but if you do, you'll be damned glad you have it! Cheers! M2
  9. ADMIN NOTE: It was posted that the 157th already selected their primaries and alternates and that those calls already went out. Another individual reported that this was not true, and might result in misleading potentially selected applicants or those not selected to be notified before official notification. As such, the post has been hidden until such time as we get confirmation one way or the other.

Still check the FCG, there may be requirements beyond what the cruise company is aware of...

Pull the Foreign Clearance Guides for each country you'll be stopping in, it'll give you the leave requirements for each to include what passports/visas may be needed. Also remember you need to put in an APACS request for the trip, even if it's leave. Cheers! M2
  12. THREAD REVIVAL! For those who haven't read this, it's worth the time and effort... https://www.jhuapl.edu/ourwork/nsa/papers/ARIS_LittleGreenMen.pdf Cheers! M2
  13. Great thread topic, as I too have been wanting to jump onto the GoPro wagon; but have wondered which model to get. A buddy of mine recently showed me a video he shot with a GoPro when he rented an Alfa Romeo 4C in Italy. I was impressed at the quality, and decided it would be a fun to have one. He got his off eBay, but I was wondering if I should do that or buy one of the newer/better ones? With such items I tend to start off cheap until I am sure it's worth the money to get the latest/greatest model. Is that a bad idea when it comes to GoPros? Cheers! M2

  22. Actually, Air Force Secretary James deserves the kill for this one; she made the decision long before Fingers took office... https://www.airforcetimes.com/articles/tops-in-blue-permanently-shut-down Best comment? "They can tap dance their way to the flightline and help out there instead."

  24. 34-219 doesn't really say fuck all about it... https://static.e-publishing.af.mil/production/1/af_a1/publication/afi34-219/afi34-219.pdf 36-2903 only says you you can't wear bags or ACUs in any place that primarily sells alcohol for consumption on the premises. 31-207 states airmen "will not consume any form of alcohol or use over the counter drugs or prescription medications that could impair ability to handle a firearm while on duty, or within 8 hours before duty or firearms training." So drink up, gentlemen!
