Vasectomy and flight physical
It depends on what your kids look like. If they're ugly, then it's not a problem because you've had two chances to produce good-looking kids and failed; so it's time to put a stop to it all. If your kids are halfway cute, then it's the doctor's call. And if he thinks you're an asshole, he'll only tie one nut off!

Gun Talk
Well, since the Draco I picked up yesterday afternoon seems to have an underfold trunnion already on it, I most likely will go this route once I get the tax stamp... Still working on arranging pick-up for the M72. Cheers! M2

Damn, when it rains it pours! I just got an email about this M72 in Houston, it's back up for sale and I've just got to have it! It's built on a NDS receiver and with a proper Yugo barrel, bipod and rear sight. It is kit build, not one of the Century-built ones! I'm trying to save my money for a PSL and a Yugo M76 sniper rifle; but this is too good of a deal to pass up! I guess maybe those will have to wait until next year! Cheers! M2 I can't help it, I love this Yugo! Here's another pic with a drum mag which doesn't come with it unfortunately!

Gun Talk
Brick Haven't owned one, but I am more than happy with my two Taurus semi-autos (a PT111 and PT709 Slim). For that price, I'd grab it! On a different note, I am picking up a Draco AK pistol tomorrow with potential plans of one day SBR'ing it (yeah, I'll have to get the $200 tax stamp first). I've heard the trunnions are built for an underfold, but most folks go a sidefolder route with them. I haven't decided which way I'll go with it, as I have a Yugo underfold already but I am not a big fan of AK sidefolders. However, I may go with the Romanian wire sidefolder with a standard rear trunnion as that would come close to being a AIMR clone (a.k.a. the Romy Krink Clone, which the Draco was designed to be in the first place). Or I may go with a ACE VZ58 stock, as I really like the look of this: But I am not sure if that stock will interfere with the safety/selector/dust cover... Since the tax stamp will take a few months to process, there's no rush to decide. Cheers! M2

New AF Motto
Since the boohooing thread was regurgitating the same discussion on the new motto, it was merged into this one. One thread on the new motto is more than enough...

The Jill Metzger thread
UFB! And big surprise, she's not in the GAL. I wonder if she'll get TIG credit during her "retirement?"

Nice, I picked up a Yugo M48 Mauser over the weekend, similar to this... I don't want to get into Mausers, but I did want a Yugo so it was inevitable... Cheers! M2

Shipping POV to England?
Flare We paid ~$1400 but that was back in 2002. You might want to check with the company that is shipping your other vehicle, as we used the same one. I can't recall the name right now, but I did look around and the prices were just about the same (or more) everywhere else. Where are ya going? I just got back from a TDY to southern Germany, I do miss being stationed in Europe but the weather in Texas is definitely better! Cheers! M2

Classic - PA F*cks Up Again!
OK, a bit of a thread revival... I am sitting here ignoring AFN in the background (I am in southern Germany at the moment), and there is a "news brief" on the 480FS being at Graf Ignatievo Air Base in Bulgaria. I think they do a quick interview with Lt Col Andrew Wolcott (480 FS/CC), but like I said I wasn't paying attention. Still, I glance up and see they have his rank as "LtCol" like he's a Marine. OK, I know that it knit-picking; but then I notice they have his unit as the "480th Flight Squadron!" Fucking hell, this is USAFE/PA doing this piece; you'd think 1) they'd know basic military ranks, and 2) they'd know that "FS" stands for "Fighter Squadron." Oh, and then I notice in the USAFE/PA press release on combined training exercise they call Graf Ignatievo an "Air Force Base." Jeez, have they not figured out that most countries simply call them "air bases?!?" They've been dorking this up with USAFE bases for years ("Ramstein Air Force Base"); but you'd think for a country they're not used to reporting on, they'd bother doing a little fact-checking! Sorry, I am a bit sleep deprived; but it's been five years since I've been stationed in this AOR (and over 28 years since the first time), and PA here is still dicking the pooch! Cheers! M2

The Officers Club
Serious, you're giving credit to the shoeclerks for this? Sounds more like PC careerists with wings not wanting to uphold the find traditions of the O'Club in fear that it may end their upward mobility. We ain't talking about Bolling here, if the death blow is dealt against the Nellis Club, then there will be no one to blame but those that let it happen...

So, I put the spare new barrel I got with my GSG-5 in yesterday afternoon, and I think I know the source of my FTF problems! The top side of the feed ramp isn't too bad...here it is compared to the new one on the bottom... But check out the burr on the bottom! So hopefully I've got the cure! Oh, and here's a pic of my GSG-5; it really is a fun little carbine, I just hope this solves the issues I've been having with it! Cheers! M2

C-17 Down on Elmendorf
Once again, take the SIB/AIB discussion to the link Toro posted; especially if you want to see all the posts I moved over from this thread. Please, no more sidebars; keep this thread focused out of respect for the crew! Thanks! M2 Agreed.
