I’ll second what Brabus said while adding that assuming you got a DUI, or something similar that lead to HIMS, is also going to require a waiver to get you into OTS. This can be very time consuming as well. Coupled with your age, you have some serious hurdles. I’m not telling you to give up, but figured you wanted to hear some truth. My buds in ANG heavy squadrons love to hire their enlisted aviators. At your age I’d normally agree that enlisting might not be the best idea, but if you are needing a moral waiver, enlisting may be your only choice, as I highly doubt any unit is hurting so badly for pilots, they’ll go get a moral waiver and then possibly an age waiver for a stranger.

And had a single 1st round game been an upset, or hell I would’ve settled for even a close game, it all would be moot and we’d be talking about how great the new playoff system is. I’m sure next week, BSU and ASU will suffer similar fates and we’ll be down to quasi familiar 4 teams vying for another title. The only truly unknown is how this new NFL without a salary cap evolution of college football fucks up everything we loved about college football.

I’m tracking what you’re saying and perhaps there’s validity to your argument in years past, but this year I’m not buying it. Ohio State kicked the shit out of TN, but what you said about OSU’s win easily applies to ND’s win over IU as well. I don’t envy the selection committee’s job at all, but given the conditions that were put in place for selecting teams, I think they did the right thing. Sadly, the games were all very one sided and quite predictable. My question to you is, who should have gotten in instead of TN? Who did the “SEC bias” leave out? Certainly the Big 10 was well represented. The ACC clearly can’t compete. Are you suggesting the Big 12, AAC, MWC, or the Sun Belt would’ve faired better against PSU, ND, TX, OSU?

As I sat and watched in Caesar’s sports book yesterday, I will say, the FCS games were on point! That was some fun football to watch. The rest of the 1st round was quite dull.

I think I got the sarcasm. I had made a similar statement early in the season about the SEC schools looking tough. Others disagree now, I’m not so sure it matters. At this point, the only conference looking like a complete fraud is the ACC.

The way you constructed that sentence, I would’ve guessed you received your higher education from an SEC school. Also, I’m not quite sure what your point was. There were 2 SEC schools in the first round. Texas killed their ACC opponent and Tenn got killed by their Big 10 opponent. The other two games featured non SEC schools getting massacred on public tv. Who would you have put in over TX and TN? SMU, Clem, IU couldn’t have done much worse than any SEC team or any other conference opponent. If the SEC had lost all 4 games, I’d say your point was proven, but following this playoff round, the Big 10 goes 2-1, SEC 1-1, and the ACC appears to be the weakest conference going 0-2 in the playoff.

Yeah, would’ve been fun to have even one of these games be somewhat close. Each of the four 1st round games you could tell was gonna be an ass kicking after the first possession.

Or is that just how college football is going to look going forward? Maybe with the transfer portal we are getting much better parity and this year’s national champ isn’t a forgone conclusion like in years past. I still got money on Ohio State to win it all, but they should’ve lost to Nebraska and did lose to Oregon who nearly got beat by Wisconsin and Boise. Point being, the playing field appears to be more level this season for sure and perhaps SEC teams beating up on each other will be the new normal. I’m not advocating for Alabama, like Finebaum or something, but I’m glad we’ll get to watch it play out in real time in the playoffs. The only thing I’m pissed about is Notre Dame’s schedule full of garbage and never having to be accountable…Unless NIU shows up in South Bend.

It’s been a smashing success

After today’s games it’s perfectly obvious…We have absolutely no clue who is going to be this year’s Nat Champs. Hell, at this rate it might be Army (joking). This has been a fun season to watch.

I’m just jealous.
