  1. basically all of that is rolled into future upt that will be at multiple locations controlled by a contractor. Who knows what specific performance/desired effects the contractor will need to provide. But it won’t be at some random ERAU esque operation. It will be mil only.
  2. Yes, that is the bobs at HQ AETC going in game plan.
  3. T-7 sims.
  4. it’s called Future UPT. There will be multi engine too. T-6A recapitalization for the Avionics Replacement Program is dead. They will eventually go to the boneyard. Everyone will fly T-7s as the T-6s go away after contractor Initial Pilot Training (IPT).
  5. I think it was a middle ground between both.
  6. Seriously though, someone should search sharepoint or whatever it is and find the GUPT (reference T-X) decision brief from circa 2014-2015 where MAF leadership talked about wanting more officership BS from pilot training and the CAF said they wanted more stick time and less sims. If MAF leadership wasnt a bunch of shoe clerks then we wouldnt have had this issue. Edit: The specific slide was a quad chart with inputs from ACC, AFGSC, AMC, and AFSOC
  7. No
  8. On another note is Fat Tony/Cat 5 still going to the Zoo?
  9. And 73 sims cost millions. There aren’t a bunch of free sim time.
  10. There isn’t an T-7 delays with upt because it’s not even ioc
  11. I hear the feminist screeching already
  12. Fake flying for the maf.
  13. That’s a T-38 drop, not a T-1 drop. T-1s can drop B-52s not B-1s or B-2s
  14. Zero. The recent B-1s were T-1 FAIPs.
  15. AETC is. In Georgetown north of Austin. 35 students. A SGTO right now. Contract initial pilot training (ipt) then a short T-6 syllabus. That means a super DOSS for ppl, ifr then multi tickets then go to a UPT base after. This isnt a PTN/19 AF thing. It is straight from COMAETC. Although congressional approval would be required to move ton this model and there are a whole lot of risks associated with it.
  16. We are sending studs to a contract multi program. It is happening right now. They will be taking FAA checkrides. I’ll restate this. You cant read.
  17. We are going single track. Y’all can’t read.
  18. Everyone is going to do contract initial pilot training. PPL, IFR, Multi. Then shorter T-6 direct FTU or shorter FBF. SGTO happening now T-6 is going away for everyone eventually and IPT direct T-7s for all my friends.
  19. Israel attacked Iran again
  20. The military determines is own qualifications for currency. That has nothing to do with valid FAA hours for an ATP. As well, to have the legal ability to count as hours for an ATP, the device needs an FAA ID, which C-130 sims dont
  21. This is completely wrong. I work SIMCERT stuff on staff. AMC self-certifies its sims to level C+/D “equivalency” (AMC has its dets go to the FAA course) but none of it is FAA certified. The time counts for nothing and do not put it on your apps.
  22. It was an intentional gear up landing, Randolph has no red line, daddy chill.
  23. Shooting from the hip. I like how they didn’t even socialize this with the HASC/SASC before because there still is no real plan. Just like getting after bureaucracy in accelerate change or lose. ”Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David W. Allvin acknowledged both the missing details and the need for congressional buy-in Feb. 28 during a speaking engagement at the Brookings Institution. “How we engage Congress, how we engage the stakeholders, how we look internally to our Air Force in different ways to accomplish this that aren’t fiscally intensive is going to be key to this—which is why it may be unsatisfying to some because we’re rolling this out without having the actual signed official document on what the end state looks like,” he said.”
