Czte does not equal combat time. Czte areas are designated by executive order, not Irs or mil. (Flew for a year in Egypt around the Red Sea, plenty of Czte, no combat or combat support time).

If you're a UPT student, work your ass off and don't worry about how the sausage is made. Lawyer balling the mass scores or check ride grading won't get you far in life. Work hard and the details will sort themselves out

We had a fixed wing qual guy once upon a time. He did fine in the end, but struggled a bit initially. Helicopter flying and army flying didn't transfer seamlessly to airplanes and AF rules. Weird. Once he got his cranium wrapped around the AF and airplane ways of things he was fine and his previous experience helped some. Navs were much worse. Wsos were slightly better and tended to go out into the CAF and do fine. Hard to unfuck a nav though.

Bring your L10 as well to answer logbook questions that would be a PITA to manually figure. (How many night, solo, XC, SIC hours south of the equator?)

I've also seen prior rated (wso and nav) and older farts (max age capts) that were entitled douche nozzles. UPT is hard enough. It's harder if you're stupid and/or an ass.
