ATI AT-94A2. Basically the same gun made in the same factory as the Zenith (MKE in Turkey), but the previous importer. A2 stock and 16" CHF barrel with no muzzle device. It was imported with a bunch of weird stuff; A2 stock spot-welded to trigger group/lower, mag-well bars to restrict use of 10-round mags, etc. I sent it to Parabellum Combat Systems and had them 922r it, remove the mag bars, clean up the welds, strip the weird painted finish off and refinish in black duracoat. The OD green furniture is Pakistani-made and the lower is clipped-and-pinned and US-made.

I just started day 1 of UPT on Friday, however it was addressed in Aerophys and it is common for people to get Airsick the first time they pull G's. They say you get used to it the more you do it and the flight doc will work with you I am assuming showing you techniques to prevent it. Get Bob Hoovers book Forever Flying he was a legendary pilot and started off getting airsick. I woudnt worry about it too much.

I dont have a specific study guide for the AFOQT to recommend just order the top hit on Amazon. As far as the TBAS goes google it and find what you can, And the Assignments threads post the drops from all three UPT bases within a day or two of the drop night usually about 5-8 fighter per class of 25-30.

My recruiter emailed this to me in 2016 its a year out of date but the AFOQT just switched to a new version when I took it so it should still be relevant. This gives you a better idea of selection rates out of total number of applicants, but only compare the recent AFOQT scores to yours as the test version changes and averages fluctuate. p.s. give me some rep trying to get out of the red lol. Let me repeat myself - it's all of the bullshit, instability, bad leadership, and life priorities changing that drive people out. It is VERY rare in my experience that people get out because of the aircraft type/mission. I know a SHIT TON of fighter pilots getting out, and I don't know a single one who is getting out because of anything to do with flying fighters, the fighter "lifestyle," etc. They would be getting out regardless if they flew tankers, helos, C-17s, etc. I know one guy who got out because he didn't like the C-17 lifestyle...he is literally the only one I know who partially got out because of a specific MDS (and that was a minor part, the first stuff mentioned was the majority of the reason). Again, no MDS has the market cornered on bad leadership, green dot training, constant TDY/deployments, more queep/less flying, etc. All the thing mentioned in my first sentence apply to ALL aircraft/missions. You can't avoid them, so you might as well go for the mission you think you'll enjoy the most for however many years you spend in the AF.

Rotors drop at about a rate of 1 per class and usually someone marks it as their top choice so you dont have to worry about that too much. RPAs havent dropped in quite a while I think atleast over a year or two. So you will apply to a rated OTS board and will choose which careers you would be willing to do if selected Pilot, RPA, CSO or ABM pilot is the most competitive so if you only mark down Pilot like I did it lowers your overall chances of selection just based on that. But dont let the recruiter tell you to check boxes you arent ok with.

Your chances are HIGH of getting selected I was selected in 2016 with 3.7 GPA and an 86 PCSM. Flying hours towards your PCSM score are maxed at 200 so get at least that many. Read up on the pilot shortage, it is not expected to be fixed for at least 3-4 years out. When you start the process I would not be shy about second guessing what the recruiter tells you do your homework and double check paperwork. They tried to tell me to "list all 4 rated jobs because it shows I am a team player and will give me a better chance at a pilot slot"??? I listed pilot only and was selected. I was also told there was no way to study for the TBAS because it was "just an aptitude test" however you can practice on a flight sim with an inverted stick, find flash cards for the directional orientation task online, play multitasking games. Bottom line don't take no for an answer and take control of your own destiny, good luck.

Growing up, my dad did over 20 as a Marine fighter pilot before getting hired by a major airline. "Missing" Christmas in the Airlines meant we celebrated on 22 Dec. "Missing" it in the USMC meant we put his presents in the spare bedroom until he got home 6-9 months later. I would take airline life over that any day. LJ, thanks for sharing that. Round and round we go. The article gave good insight to the culture of the AF in the early 90s, but was almost all sport bitching with no real solutions given other than platitudes like "Leaders, not managers are the key to success" and "Let's use 'RL'--Real Leadership!" Yawn... tell us what that actually means. I love the plug for Marines and their strong heritage vs our so-called confused heritage too.. So funny how all this shit still gets repeated today.

You guys want to know the opinion of someone who is not in the military? Those female marines and sailors only have themselves to blame. Two generations ago making videos of sexual acts was simply not something that you did and to be honest if they never wanted others to see their nasty then they should of never allowed themselves to be filmed, taken the pictures themselves (selfies and sending them around), etc. Basically they want to be a sloot and then wonder why the man didn't respect them. No man respects a sloot, we dont wife sloots and certainly don't bring them home. That's why the pics were shared on a private FB group. End of the day the V is the more valuable commodity and they have an obligation to protect it. It's called PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. The only ones responsible are the women who shared the pics expecting that they would never be seen by another soul, that's stupid and that's not human nature. Especially when you're not with that crazy chick anymore and you show your buddies how much of a freak she was for a laugh. They want to take what makes a man a man. The sooner the military stands up to these crusading feminist and just say what needs to be said to them, "take responsibility for yourselves!" The better.
