  1. There is a very easy fix for all of this general/flag officer personal misconduct but, sadly, it will never be implemented. If a GO/FO gets cashiered for personal misconduct, the service should lose that GO/FO billet for 3 years. With this, you know that shit would get fixed literally overnight. Screening and selection would instantly double in rigor. Afterall, maintaining GO/FO billets is are among the services' highest priorities...

  3. No. There is still a functioning system in place - Legislature and Judicial - as well as mechanisms for executive branch succession, e.g. Speaker of the House. DoD sits on the sidelines and stays quiet until the political branches sort it out. If DoD jumps in once, what prevents it from doing so again in the future. We may be awarded chest-fuls of medals and ribbons like banana republics, but we don't have to respond like one.

    Ya, I kinda feel like if you don't have the SA to not click on something at work with the words "go topless" in the address, there might be some bigger issues at hand.
