  1. You can’t break up your 20 days of PTDY. It is one block “for securing post AF job.” Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  2. You will not get a waiver for the seat with previous back surgery. The seat going up the rails can paralyze you. I didn’t think of that. My friend’s waiver says “non-ejection seat” or something like that.
  3. A little more sanctimonious next time please (not you Bergman, the guy who wrote that). Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  4. I’m not sure if it is different for an active flyer...but I know a guy who had a microdiscectomy in L5-S1 and he got a waiver to RTFS. It was a pain in the ass for him because the command wanted a bunch of extra stuff showing he could still push the rudder pedals and move the yoke. 5. You should get paid for the travel days (part of your orders each time). Your unit should also be paying for the airline tickets. Why would you be non reving? Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  6. Lawn dart Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  7. Captain unless they are actively pursuing “leadership” roles. But they have far fewer non-flying officers.
  8. Ditch the rank...Capt is where you top out...but make flight pay compensate for the extra pay normally associated with rank. The Canucks do it and it works pretty darn good for them. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  9. And you expected something different from the people who manage only HPOs?
  10. I will never blow sunshine. Flying is too important. Yes, the initial PTN guys were screened. My understanding from friends who set up the PTN concept was to establish a baseline from people who already had flying experience so they could actually measure Joe Newhire’s performance against something objective. I wasn’t involved with any of the pipeline part. I don’t want to toss out this person’s previous experience but I’m sure it is a factor. I think it is worth looking at ways to “optimize” UPT and FTU training. I don’t think it is worth cutting just to produce faster/more.
  11. I’ve flown with one of the PTN graduates. Statistics of small numbers...but a better product than regular UPT is churning out right now.
  12. One of the worst opponents to military compensation was McCain. Hopefully people will be able to undo what he did in his last few years because “he had far less compensation when he was in and it was fine.”
  13. Except the shadow on the lowest A400 is facing the wrong way... Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  14. Cause the boyz n tha hood are always hard You come talking that trash we'll pull your card Knowing nothing in life but to be legit Don't quote me boy, cause I ain't saying shit
  15. It’s going to wither and die regardless. Locked in to 20 when the AF can change the playbook without telling you? It’s a poorly designed program all around. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  16. There probably is some shitting after all that hole plugging.
  17. Because that requires actual science. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  18. Guy is a ing quack. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  19. When did the A get a lift fan? Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  20. Pilot promotion rates go down. Source: see the USN pilot promotion issues.
  21. And then the “real life Capt Marvel” got fired... Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  22. Not really. You have a 99% chance with a DP. You have about a 15% chance with a P.
  23. I hate you wife too! #rimshot (sorry Duck)
  24. Pipe dream. It is locked by law at $35K and the Services have no intention of requesting more. Also, why would they pay you for the rest of your life to walk at 15 years when they want to retain a % to 20?
