Just go to the flight doc and tell him you are having alergy issues. The doc at Randolph gave me 3 months of Claritin and just DNIF'd me for 3 days to see if it would kill me. I picked them up Friday afternoon, took them over the weekend, wasn't dead on Monday morning and was flying that afternoon. Probably 20% of my class was taking Claritin at some point during UPT, it's not that big of deal.

What is a big deal is flying with sinus block and busting your eardrum...

I'll just give Claritin a try, it's over the counter anyways.

Define sinus block? Like I said, I have sinus issues, but am almost never fully congested. My ears are ok with pressure changes, and i feel no pain with pressurization and depressurization to 10,000 feet, but that's all I know.

Last info I had was that Sheppard and San Antonio still had one back in 2012. (I realize that is a little dated)

When I was at Mildenhall we went to the chamber in Amsterdam. True story.

tyndall, shaw, beale, and peterson all have one

Pensacola and Randolph also have them. In addition, ROBD's are popping up in a lot of places. No good for initial but works for refresher. I'm going to Hurlburt's in a couple weeks.

Andrews has one as well. Call to schedule: DSN 857-4654 or Commercial (240) 857-4654

I'm not sure what you're looking for, but since you're in AZ, ASU also operates a chamber for students/general public.

Please let this still be true. I'm headed to Mildenhall and my chamber expires in 6 months!

It's not.

Did mine in Amsterdam while stationed at ETAR back in '09. But I've heard they've since gone to ROBD training instead.

It's not.

Ratner might be right but, as of April '14 it was. They've been threatening to close it for several years, but were having trouble getting the ROBD cert'd for MAF guys (I'm pretty sure fighters are all in the sim now).

I'd email your future DOT now to set up a date ASAP.

Mildenhall is using the ROBD at Lakenheath, just did it a few weeks ago. Had three -130 guys and a KC-135 guy in my class.
