Thinking about a second plane so my son can build hours.

Debating between an RV (Never flown one and admittedly don't know much about them), or a Cherokee or something in that class.

I had no idea RV-8s were going for so much...RV-4 more appropriate?

How long until he starts building hours? A year or so from now will have a solid one coming available.

  • It looks like no one here went to Nellis Airshow.  However we got to bring in our A-37B  (S/N 87921) after a 20 year restoration.  It was the first public display of the aircraft, and it was a big hit

Cherokee 140 is what we went with for time builder, it’s up in VA beach though for the next year grinding.

I’d stick with the certified aircraft if buying one for time building. I don’t have a hard opinion for why, but just instincts say it will end out working better.
