February 4, 201411 yr C-145 makes a successful single engine landing at Talahassee. The news media of course is making a really big deal out of landing on just one engine in low cloud cover... Anyway, it ended well... https://www.wctv.tv/home/headlines/Air-Force-Pilot-Makes-Emergency-Landing-In-Tallahassee-243414381.html Edited February 4, 201411 yr by hobbitcid
February 5, 201411 yr Nice job skytruckers, there haven't been too many aviation articles with happy endings this year.
February 5, 201411 yr It's the new nomenclature for M-28. Good on Maj Little. Am I the only one who had to look up M-28 in addition to C-145?
February 5, 201411 yr Am I the only one who had to look up M-28 in addition to C-145? Someone post a picture so I don't have to google it too.
February 5, 201411 yr Am I the only guy on here who had to google was a C-145 is? Only reason I know about the C-145/M-28 was because I was airborne when one crashed in Afghanistan a few years ago. The damn thing flipped tail over nose, onto its back. These guys we're picked up by an HH-60...that subsequently crashed on takeoff! Talked about a bad night. https://www.baaa-acro.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/08-0319.pdf Edited February 5, 201411 yr by SocialD

February 5, 201411 yr I visited the factory where they modded them, got to crawl all around it. Then had to google it. Cool plane, looks like a blast to fly.
February 5, 201411 yr I was on that SIB. Damn lucky no one died...one of the M-28 dudes was thrown and pinned underneath the helo as it rolled. Luckily there was a foot of dust he sank into and the PJs were able to just pull him out. They did a CDI in lieu of an AIB for the HH-60 one, so I have no idea how to find a copy of that to post here, sorry. Edited February 5, 201411 yr by stract
