I saw Doc jogging up the street today. He was decked out in FULL Air Force PT gear. I'm talking the new stuff, you know, the stuff that came out AFTER he retired, complete with the matching sweatshirt. That means that Doc went to the BX, and forked out his own cash to purchase that crap and wears it of his own free will on his own time.

Now that I know to BOLO I see Doc fairly regularly jogging up and down my street. What color does Doc REALLY hate? My mailbox needs a paint job. Perhaps an onion shaped one...

Interesting..... A topic of discussion at a recent staff meeting here was whether or not "hazing" occurs at UPT. Those kind of questions don't spontaneously pop up, so we made the assumption that maybe it was coming from certain shenanigans of one of the other squadrons on base. If there is leadership that may legitimately be facing charges for "hazing" maybe it's bigger than just my base level.

Just more evidence of how clueless "leadership" is about the state of the Air Force as a whole. If you think this mentality that there are no major problems is unique to the ICBM world you're crazy. Leaders in every aspect of the Air Force are genuinely convinced that the Air Force isn't broken in a fundamental way. They think that suicide, sexual assault, alcoholism, etc are all problems of individual airmen or maybe squadrons, and not symptoms of a far larger problem.

Same issue here. I can type in the field at the bottom of the thread, but the "Post" button doesn't work. Also clicking the "quote" button on posts does not populate anything in the bottom text field. The only way to quote a post is to select it with the multiquote button and hit "more reply options". It then populates the quote with a lot of code jibberish thrown in as well. The multiquote feature also does not work doing this-- I can only quote one post at a time doing it this way. Win7x64/Chrome. Had the same issue with Android 4.3 on a Galaxy S4 and Nexus 7 running Chrome on both.

I GUARANTEE, beyond the shadow of any doubt that not only will a FAIP volunteer for this, but EVERY FAIP will be FIGHTING for the "opportunity" of this.

Yes. Still getting it every time I try to access the site via my PC running Chrome. Haven't picked up anything malware related from bypassing the warning and proceeding to the site though.

I haven't had an issue accessing this site via Android devices using Chrome OS.

Trying to teach yourself instruments by reading 11-217 is akin to trying to teach yourself particle physics by buying a text book off of Amazon. You can memorize the text all you want, but without context and application it's meaningless. I will say there are two distinct types of guys who show up to UPT with prior time (either civilian flying, E aircrew, etc). Either they show up with an open mind and willing to learn and parlay their previous experience into success at UPT, or they show up with the attitude that they already know how to fly and they simply need to check the UPT box. Needless to say, the guys in the later group struggle mightily and frequently wash out.

There is so much wrong with your attitude as an instructor it's hard to find a starting point. Yelling at a student for no other reason than to try to knock them off the rails is self serving at best, and directly detrimental to their learning at worst. We spend a lot of time in phase 3 trying to un-fuck these kids' heads because they're so wound up from downright poor instruction in phase 2 that they are incapable of constructive learning. Honestly, what does yelling at a student accomplish? This tactic seems to be invariably used by bitter FAIPs who have nothing to offer other than to try to pass on their own self-imposed misery of being FAIPed and try to make UPT as miserable as they can for students.
