A-10 crash at moody
Also, I will speculate that there will be no more A-10 drops to UPT studs, and will spread said rumor like wildfire. In all seriousness, glad the pilot is ok.

Oh... maybe they should give me a re-do now that I'm out in the middle of nowhere/mexico. Some of the local talent makes an ice pick in the eye sound pleasant.

FC1 Physical Information
If one of you bro's could ask where the hell to get my IQ test results while you're up there, I'd appreciate it. I tried the numbers on their website but it's indefinitely busy tone, and a San Antonio area code, I'm assuming they just haven't updated it. Not that the results matter that much, just thought it'd be cool to see.

T-6s Grounded
Yup... we're all going back to tweets... they figure it's basically the same thing so we don't need to do any additional academics or anything. As for the student pilot, he's a friend of mine, I told him to quit breakin airplanes so I can get my dollar ride already... but yeah, some crazy control issues fo sho.

Holsters in Flight Suits
well, when they took away friday shirts, I had to think outside the container. It could be fitting for our flight in UPT (Guns). Anyways, it was just an idea, back to studying. Also, there's a reg for everything, and no I don't want to know how to cook a cheeseburger sans cheese.

Holsters in Flight Suits
Another thread revival: Any ideas for regs about wearing an empty holster in the flight suit? I searched around but not sure I'm using the right terms I guess.

Aircrew knife/knives
Any recommendations for a knife that will fit nicely in the flight suit pocket? I was looking at maybe the Benchmade 3300 infidel? Thoughts?

Leadership at the 'Deid
You can then mount said pringles can to the LNB end of a sat dish and BAM... miles of wifi range... some friends and I did this back in Jacksonville, Florida 6 or 7 years ago, although we found the whole sat dish idea to be a little difficult, the pringles can mod was pretty easy.

Raptors grounded over OBOGS issue
How does a UPT stud go about reading one of these safety reports? (Without it being just presented in a class)

Raptors grounded over OBOGS issue
Return of the Raptor: The F-22 fleet will probably be up and running again "soon," said Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz. In an interview Tuesday, Schwartz said he expects a report next week from the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board task force headed by retired Gen. Gregory Martin, which will offer a way forward regarding questions about the F-22's onboard oxygen generation system. Schwartz said last week's evacuation of F-22s from JB Langley-Eustis, Va., in anticipation of Hurricane Irene was a simple early implementation of the "return-to-flight" plan developed for when the F-22 grounding is lifted. Schwartz also said the OBOGS has been ruled out as a factor in last November's crash of an F-22 in Alaska, which took the life of the pilot. A more thorough investigation of the crash site was possible during the recent summer months and yielded recovered hardware and computer memory that made a more comprehensive analysis possible. Completion of an accident investigation board report, long delayed due to difficulties in assessing the wreckage, is expected soon, Schwartz said.

AFI 36-2903 and dress/uniform regs and issues
Mandatory attendance at a chief's panel tonight ( three chiefs mentoring ~150 studs), and somebody asked about Friday shirts, follow up question was about heritage and the ways the air force is killing it. Answers included "The color t-shirt you wear should have nothing to do with morale" and "I don't see how the color of the t-shirt you wear has anything to do with heritage" as well as "well all the younger airmen look up to you, and they see you wearing stuff and they want to do it too".

Information on PCS/moves/moving (DITY, TMO, DLA, storage)
I've been searching, but I'm guessing I'm just not using the right terms... my google-foo must be weak today. Anyways, I'm just commissioned via ROTC, and I'm about to PCS to my first PDS. I'm doing a full DITY (probably not even going to bring more than 1K lbs of stuff). I requested the advanced operating allowance of 60%. Unfortunately, I can't figure out where to get said advance. The counselor from the TMO office isn't sure if I work through my gaining unit or through his base (Patrick AFB), or if I work through my detachment (I assume the least likely option). Anybody have any words of wisdom here? I've sent an email over to the NCOIC from my det, but I haven't started bugging people at my gaining unit or at Patrick (don't really care to start off on the wrong foot). Thanks a ton!
