  1. I'm surprised its taken this long for someone to float this idea. Everyone get ready for your mandatory Anthrax, err I mean, COVID shot... https://www.navytimes.com/news/your-navy/2021/03/24/lawmakers-call-on-biden-to-make-covid-vaccines-mandatory-for-the-military/?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=EBB 03.25.21&utm_term=Editorial - Early Bird Brief
  2. It’s almost amusing watching the cyclical nature of the Air Force. Blues Monday’s in the mid 0’s became a game of flying or having “appointment” to miss work. At my staff job, we took to changing into our PT gear after lunch, to get ready to workout. Welsh killing that nonsense was fantastic... Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  3. You're 100% correct, agile and acquisition don't ever belong in the same sentence. If we started 100% commitment today, what's the fastest we could really field a "new jet". I'm betting it's at least 7-10 years....That's part of the reason the F-15EX was so appealing, it was in current production.
  4. Has anyone used or can you recommend a Military-to-Federal Service resume writing company. I have a good start, but was wondering if anyone here had success, outside of doing it yourself. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  5. I'm wondering how long until OPR's will also have a static closeout date...And here I thought my #1 SNACKO strat was strong https://www.af.mil/News/Article-Display/Article/2519199/air-force-announces-officer-stratification-guidance/fbclid/IwAR0ZMyPcI7mMlft8KsjEjCFBTRRUexCi6Lq5wSePizQpLYYHckL7AvUU7E8/
  6. I’ve heard that the issue wasn’t him being involved in any type of sexual assault, but how he, as Wing CC, had handled an incident. It was also coupled with an increase in assault allegations, compared to previous years, during his brief time at Vance. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  7. There was a C-17 pilot that was tried for an Off-DZ drop in McChord years ago. Ultimately found not-guilty https://www.airforcemag.com/c-17pilotfoundnotguiltyinairdropdeath/
  8. If you have a DP checked PRF, with good push line, you’re in a strong position to be promoted. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  9. If we learn one thing from the madness of the past 2 years, it's that local politics have a much more immediate impact on peoples lives. If you want to affect change, get involved. Unless you're a gay father of mixed race children trying to get on the school board in San Francisco...
  10. “We’re not a one mistake Air Force” 2021: “Hold my beer” What a troubling force shaping decision this is... Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  11. I took advantage of this last week. I didn't know it was 25% until I saw to total bill drop dramatically. Personally I like their workout t-shirts; pricey but nice.
  12. Hopefully, she and her staff have learned, that continual daily engagement on Facebook is fraught with disaster. She’s been apart of two self-inflicted, and avoidable missteps. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  13. I believe that EFFECTIVE or SUCCINCT not EFFICIENT would have been a better adjective to dismiss my opinion. Side note, I do believe that statistics can be useful. I just feel that using a single poll to cast a disparaging net over 53 million people seems like a stretch. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  14. That was the best military used item of clothing I ever bought while traveling. As I remember he said it was made from virgin calf skin... Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  15. That poll used 1,115 people. If your comfortable saying that they truly represent 330 million Americans, cool post away. We’ve become so fractured in our discourse, that we are looking for the piece of data that will let us dunk on few citizens, so we can prove we’re right. I trying to wrap my head around how we move forward as a United States. Although I didn’t vote for Biden, I had a glimmer of hope that he would try and play a “unifier”. Unfortunately it looks like that ship has sailed.
  16. What is the source of this fancy graph; I was never given a chance to participate. And you just casually throw out that 16% of Americans, or up to 53 million people, belief the "Satan worshipping" line. I'm thinking we're identifying part of the problem with political discourse in our country...
  17. I guess the factors that led to the financial collapse of 2008 was all based on sound reasoning....It’s one thing, greed. The events of today were 100% market manipulation by Wall Street. Melvin, the hedge fund shorted 140% of GameStop stock, yes more than was available. Citadel, funded Melvin when it became apparent they didn’t have the financial backing to cover their anticipated loses. Citadel also own Robinhood, which then conveniently stopped individuals from buying shares today. Oh yeah, the former FED Chairman during Biden’s VP term, Ben Bernanke, is a senior advisor to Citadel. Wall Street makes and changes the rules in order to make money for themselves, they could give two shits about whom the destroy in the process. The WallStreetBets crowd was literally acting in accordance with the rules of buying and selling stock. There should be people in jail for this...But we know that won’t happen, 1 person was given jail time following the 2008 meltdown.
  18. Ditto this, and honestly I would be even more conservative. After I talked to my VA rep, when you start to feel pain, is when you stop...You can absolutely push through until it hurts a lot more, but what's uncomfortable today, will be way worse in 10-15 years.
  19. The ol’ BBC...how did I end up on this website [emoji51]
  20. With the Dems in charge, the repercussions of this idiotic event will be the thing to watch. I think this author (Glenn Greenwald) summed it up perfectly. "But as was true of the Cold War and the War on Terror and so many other crisis-spurred reactions, the other side of the ledger — the draconian state powers clearly being planned and urged and prepared in the name of stopping them — carries its own extremely formidable dangers. Refusing to consider those dangers for fear of standing accused of downplaying the threat is the most common tactic authoritarian advocates of state power use. Less than twenty-four hours after the Capitol breach, one sees this tactic being wielded with great flamboyance and potency, and it is sure to continue long after January 20." Violence in the Capitol, Dangers in the Aftermath
  21. I haven’t been paying attention to the events in D.C. today, but based on some replies on the Interweb’s, sure seems to be a whole bunch of D’s are real big “Law and Order” types today. Regardless of your motivation, we can all agree the destruction of property is wrong. And storming the capital while holding a Confederate flag, isn’t making the statement you think it is...
  22. Republicans need to move on from Trump and focus on how they’re going to attract new young voters and grow the party. The day he leaves office, Twitter is going to ban him, and he loses the most effective tool he has for promoting his message. I honestly feel like if the Senate goes D, we’re in for a unprecedented time in our nation. And Republicans need to have a productive counter narrative.
  23. This is a really thought provoking documentary on the ease with which election votes can be manipulated. It’s from that right wing conspiracy channel...HBO https://www.hbo.com/documentaries/kill-chain-the-cyber-war-on-americas-elections
  24. Trump knows he lost, he’s just dragging it out to try and inflict political damage on Biden. I personally don’t think that there’s a massive multi-state conspiracy that’s keeping him from a fair election; that requires too many moving parts to execute. His own actions turned previous supporters against him. I will say this, if the tables were turned and Trump was getting all the mail-in votes, and Biden lost his election night lead over it. We all know what the reaction on the streets/MSM would have been...and it wouldn’t be how Trump supporters are handling it.
  25. I don’t know, nor is it important. The only thing pharmaceutical companies care about is money. And getting their vaccine distributed global, first, is all that matters. OWS created an environment of accelerated development, which they were directly part of.
