We are having a safety down day... perfect opportunity to catch up on all the ancillary training that we have been behind on since we have been flying and doing the mission so much.

T-6s and although you are right about Active Duty, there have been tons of reservists who have just left fighters. For what it’s worth I left PIT over a year ago.

I plan on retiring from this board when I separate. Growing a beard, smoking weed down on the farm.

I’m freaking out about this stuff here. If I don’t get passed over it will have been over 5 years deployed thanks to my T-6 and PIT tours. Any clue on when these are going to be dealt out? Last I heard they were starting in April, but I haven’t heard any rumors of guys getting hit up.

I bet you got trophies for 2nd place in soccer growing up too huh? Kidding. Yeah I’m not saying good classes don’t get good drops, it just sucks to see things not work out for good kids that you grow to root for over 12 months and luck falling on the side of some weak swimmers with less than optimal attitudes. “Needs of the Air Force!”

Isn’t that how it always goes? Some of the best classes I had got the worst drops and some of the worst classes got the best drops.

The Guard although better than AD, has its own problems.

It’s a direct result to the institutional lack of focus on flying. If it’s not a priority to the AF, it tends to not be a priority.

And I completely understand you calling it as you see it with your massive military aviation experience. As a PIT IP, I have been surprised by how terrible a large number of AF pilots are regardless of airframe.

T-38 drops look pretty rough to me. Not 2009-2011 rough, but not great.

Board is in Dec 2018. The promotion increment has been all over the place, so there is no telling when they would start pinning on. Expect 09 guys to start pinning Sept 18 and continuing for 9-12 months.

Alright Buckley Hopeful/Hopeful/Business is gone. I appreciate those of you who contacted me. I will do my best to keep up with this, but I rarely view this part of the forum. Just let me know if something needs cleaning up.
