  1. Does anyone have a cup with a lid or water bottle that they use that will fit in the smaller European sized cup holders in the Airbus? I’m currently in the 350 but I assume they are all the same sized across the different fleets. Thanks for your help!

  3. I never said NATO had to accept them you are just trying to put words into my mouth. But it was alluded to and probably stated that by even trying to join NATO was enough to get Russia to Invade.
  4. Between all the verbal fellatio about how we were getting a “masters class” with all of your apologist drivel you literally stated “Why yes... I am saying we should have stopped NATO expansion in 1990 when we had the chance. There wouldn't be a Vladmir Putin problem if we did. Not only that we had several off ramps including up until February when Vladmir Putin sent President Biden a list of demands thatencompassed his security concerns in central Europe.” You are blaming NATO for not taking any off-ramps from Putin’s demands implying that because we didn’t bend to his demands we are responsible for what happens next. So while I didn’t go through and reread everything it was very clear that you were heavily implying the west forced Putin into attacking in Ukraine by crossing some red line you theorize exists and it’s our fault for not understanding him. Ukraine can choose to align themselves however they want they should not have to serve as a buffer if they recognize the value of relationships with the west and choose to pursue them that is their sovereign right and not an excuse to be invaded by a power hungry despot.
  5. Exactly that was the problem I had with the discussion. I have no desire to get Into a direct shooting war with Russia. I take issue that every time an academic discussion in the west it always seems to end with us having to be in the wrong some way and that all the other opinions have equal value. Fuk that…this war is Putin’s doing. I can completely understand why former Soviet republics would want to join NATO, it’s on full display right now. I completely disagree that the west has to do some kind of soul searching to figure out how we were wrong and forced Putin to invade Ukraine. Putin misjudged the west’s actions and I hope his economy crumbles and he is removed from power, preferably by a rope. In the meantime more sanctions, pump US oil and continue to dump weapons into the Ukraine to kill as many Russians as possible.
  6. “Leading foreign policy statesmen” are a large part of the reason the world is so fked up right now. Just because they say something doesn’t mean it’s the truth. It’s worth listening too sure, but it is just an opinion which history shows over and over again they get wrong. I do know what Putin is doing right now is his own making and is fk’ed up, I don’t need to blame NATO or the US for Putin killing civilians and holding the world hostage with his nuclear weapons. Just because people like to do some circle jerk because they have all sorts of academic degrees doesn’t mean they are any smarter than the rest of the unwashed masses who can use common sense to know something is wrong when they see it. I am tired of having to think about other countries background when what they are doing is wrong. And again any more dead Russians to post?
  7. Meanwhile the Russian government hasn’t acknowledged any deaths. https://www.rferl.org/amp/ukraine-russia-pows-prisoners-identification-dead/31726619.html
  8. I’ve browsed it but I don’t give two shits about their argument…conscription is not slavery. Both are involuntary but different. Can we get back to dead Russians please..I’ll start
  9. There are many individual cases that you can point to that the Supreme Court has gotten wrong in retrospect but when it comes to Selective Service and Conscription they have been consistent. I’m just a pilot, not a lawyer but I am also able to realize their is a time and place for conscription and it is different then slavery. And this thread is about dead Russians, many of whom are conscripts…
  10. That’s cool but the Supreme Court has upheld the legality of the draft and selective service registration several times. Slavery is an evil stain on a society, conscription is different. Plus we are talking about the Ukraine in a war for national survival…
  11. Conscription… con·scrip·tion /kənˈskripSH(ə)n/ Learn to pronounce noun compulsory enlistment for state service, typically into the armed forces.
  12. So he continues to point fingers and blame Trump as the current administration can’t dig itself out of its ups…I for one will be glad when he is just another washed up pilot on the street https://ktvz.com/videos/2021/08/22/gop-congressman-places-blame-on-trump-admin-for-crisis-in-afghanistan-they-set-this-up-to-fail-3/
  13. I get it, he hates Trump but I don’t understand why he insists on constantly pointing fingers at the GOP rather then the actual decision makers now. He might as well go ahead and switch parties… https://ktvz.com/videos/2021/08/22/gop-congressman-places-blame-on-trump-admin-for-crisis-in-afghanistan-they-set-this-up-to-fail-3/

  15. All I know is that I keep seeing videos that have thousands of military aged males in Afghanistan who should pick up a f****ng gun and actually fight for their country and families.
  16. They have a government contract fuel rate, and when I went through there a year ago there was no mention of Turnberry. This is simply people in the media who have to idea how the system works trying to make a hit piece on Trump.
  17. WIC ADSC is 3 years, if you are in your original aircraft it can not extend you beyond your Pilot ADSC (10 years). (Note 1b), if you crossflow into a different aircraft prior to WIC you will only incur the full ADSC up to the ADSC for your new airframe (Note 1C) From AIR FORCE INSTRUCTION 36-2107 ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE COMMITMENTS 1.2. ADSC-Incurring Events. Table1.1. Identifies ADSC-incurring events. USAF Weapons Instructor Course (WIC) (all AFSCs) 3 years (see notes 1, 2, 14 and 15) 1. The following provisions apply: a. The ADSC for Undergraduate Pilot Training (UPT) will be 10 years effective for those entering UPT on or after 1 October 1999. The ADSC will be served upon graduation and will run concurrently with any other ADSC. The United States Air Force Academy classes of 1998 and 1999, and Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) cadets commissioned in Fiscal Year (FY) 1998 and 1999 who were categorized as pilots at EAD entry, will incur an ADSC of 8 years (versus 10 years) upon completion of UPT. b. All manned or unmanned pilots, navigators, and air battle managers who began aviation service after 30 September 1997 will not incur any additional Advanced Flying Training (AFT)/Instructor Qualification ADSCs which extend beyond 6 or 10 years as applicable, of continuous or cumulative rated service. Rated service begins at the completion of training and awarding of wings for the rated specialty. They will still incur Permanent Change of Station (PCS), Professional Military Education (PME), and other non-AFT related ADSCs. c. Rated officers who crossflow/retrain into another rated career field (e.g., an air battle manager who crossflows/retrains as a navigator or manned or unmanned pilot), crossflow/retrain to a different weapons system (basic qualification) or aircraft airframe will incur the full ADSC for that training even if that ADSC extends beyond the officer’s 6th or 10th year of rated service. Edited to correct the crossflow note. Thanks Disco Nav

  19. My understanding was that "Congressman" has two logins, one from which he can post with anonymity and the other as "Congressman." This allows him to post as an aircrew member without having to attribute his comments to a US Congressman. The Congressman login was a way to post on here and get feedback from military members. I really do appreciate him posting on here, (while I am frustrated with his most recent vote) because it gives us close contact to a member serving in government (if he truly is who he claims to be). My hope is that by giving him the direct feedback to our frustrations with the cuts in the pension system that he and his party can rectify their error and attempt to regain the trust of the military community.
  20. No doubt it was a "hard" vote and the current retirement system needs to be reevaluated. Those currently serving should have been grandfathered in as promised and you sure as shit should not have changed it for those who are already retired. Nice way to thank those who served than by stealing from them to pay for the wars you (congress) sent us to fight.
  21. Its my understanding that he is still in the guard. I know he is not the only one to vote for the retirement cuts, but his is one of the worst because of the clear betrayal. He was supposed to be part of the new generation, our generation who served oversees and then went to Washington to make it better, while still protecting the military from unnecessary cuts. If our "friends" are willing to betray us in this way, what is going to happen when those less friendly politicians who have never served in the military start making cuts. https://www.facebook.com/RepKinzinger?hc_location=timeline According to his Facebook page he thanked the troops for their service and sacrifice while filming an AFN commercial then seven days later he shit on all of that by voting to cut the retirement, something he did not even acknowledge in his Facebook statement on why he voted for the bill. It makes you wonder if he even knew what was in the bill he voted on. Yet another reason to get out as soon as I can.
  22. Whatever happened to the congressman who supposedly frequented these pages a year or so ago. I would be interested to hear why he felt the need to stab his fellow service members in the back. http://kinzinger.house.gov
