Just saw an official looking memorandum signed by 19AF/CC (AETC) directing that those whose religious accommodation request and subsequent appeal denial for the COVID vaccine be immediately grounded. Furthermore, if the member doesn't request retirement or separation within 5 days of the appeal denial then they will also be immediately suspended from receiving AvIP and any aviation bonus in addition to being grounded. 19AF/CC has already prohibited all TDYs for unvaccinated personnel prior to this new policy. Apparently the "pilot crisis" can't be too bad if they're willing to cut UPT and FTU production by grounding AETC IPs for refraining from a vaccine that has proven to not be the "miracle vaccine" that it was initially advertised as. Edited to add: Unvaxxed AETC IPs have been flying the line with and alongside like their vaxxed counterparts for over 6 months now with absolutely no issues whatsover. There is no logical argument to ground these people from flying while still allowing them to work and sim in close proximity to everyone else. This policy is completely about power and has zero to do with protecting people or making the workplace safer. --Break, break-- How come no one is asking why it's been almost a year since the Comrinaty was approved and we still have no FDA approved vaccine available in the U.S.? Could it be that Pfizer doesn't want to be liable for any lawsuits since they are protected from such under the EUA? If so, why would they be worried about lawsuits if the vaccine is indeed safe and effective? -9-
  3. Interesting... I applied for retirement requesting an ADSC waiver for best interest of the AF citing both manning and money. AFPC reached out to me and quoted AFI 36-3203 para 3.8.2.1 stating "waiver submitted for common situations ... or based solely on manning or to save the AF money will not be considered" and asked me to be more specific in my justification for best interest. Two questions: 1. What qualifies for the best interest of the AF if it is not either manning or money? 2. Has anyone else had success with this process? What worked for you? -9-

  5. Yeah, that checks. I also heard that PIT was super easy as long as your previous airframe was turboprop, turbofan or jet powered. If not, then the washout rate is close to 96.69%.   9. Yet another shout out to Jon, Bri, and Lisa on the Trident team. Just closed on a new house in Colorado Springs at 3.5% with $6K back for closing costs on a VA loan. Trident was a pleasure to deal with the whole way, and when the builder’s “preferred lender” tried to undercut Jon when the rates dropped, he beat the other bank by a significant margin even with the builder throwing in $2K to try to sway me to their lender. Seriously, if you’re in the market for a mortgage and you don’t give Jon a call, you’re doing yourself a disservice and you’ll most likely end up paying more. You won’t regret it. -9-

  11. The bros say no, but maybe they're just saying that to make me feel better. I'll let you all be the disinterested third party judge... UPT IP and the SP dorks up the touch-n-go to the point that when I take the plane we depart the runway off the side. Nobody gets hurt, but the plane is going to need some mx to the tune of $100k. After five days of being grounded following the mishap, I get advised of a CC directed Q3 for not preventing damage to the plane. -9-
  12. Has anyone ever successfully fought a commander directed Q3? If so, what is the winning strategy? I realize that there are times when a commander directed Q3 is warranted, but I have also heard way too many stories of BS ones too - mainly from risk averse commanders attempting to save face in front of their boss. Here's some more stats I pulled from the promotion list: 1,451 total selects - 145 were BTZ with school - 72 were I/APZ with school - 1,234 were I/APZ Personally, I'd like to know more about the DP non selects... Is this because SRs are trying to play the system? Or items missing from their promotion folder? I'm sure these guys are good dudes, and we're supposed to have checks and balances to double check that the DPs go to the right people. -9- Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. Not quite. This only lets you substitute an expired certificate for an unexpired one, and your certificate had to have expired while you were deployed or within 6 months of your return. The normal CFI renewal methods still apply. -9- Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
