I was flying home from San Antonio one day and they made an announcement at the gate: "I need 6 military personnel to come to the counter." Six people (including me) went up there (all not in uniform), and they swapped out our coach tickets for FC (I was the only one on orders). Maybe it's just because San Antonio is a big military town but that's the only time I've seen that happen. Pretty cool though.

Are you suggesting that if one of the (once)Big-Three had stuck accelerators and runaway cars that the media wouldn't be covering it near as much? There is a huge difference between a fire on a switch(which is still serious, but you can stop/egress), and a car that won't stop.

Just as an FYI...I went over to finance today after being paid for my PCS, and they informed me I also needed to fill out some PDFs by hand for them, i.e., State of Legal Residence, Uniform Allowance, Direct Deposit. So you can PCS with the PiPS, but in terms of in processing there are some forms that need to be filled out by hand. -LL

FG, I'm inprocessing at Columbus from ROTC to be a UPT student. I was given the PiPS information but thats about as far as they were willing to help. Am I able to fill out everything online or should I go to the option where it says for me to "fill out" the PDFs and print them and bring em over to the office myself. Thanks! LL

I dont think the Services Lt was being dumb or whatever, it didn't seem like an annoying "shoeish" e-mail, I think what the pilots did in return was not needed. YMMV

I finally gave into the iPhone craze yesterday, I have the 3G right now, waiting on my 3Gs to come in the mail. Coming over from verizon, I love it! Cheaper family plans, excellent customer service (at least at our local store), and the phone is pretty awesome (compared to several Verizon Windows Smartphones)
