Does anyone have any experience with MIL2ATP out of North Carolina?

There's a difference between partying for said promotion to captain (which most definitely should and does happen) and self congratulations on Facebook thanking everyone for how hard earned your promotion to Capt was just to make yourself seem like you've earned something. I'm assuming that's where the point was supposed to go.

Another shout out for Trident Home Loans and Stacy! Stacy is extremely helpful when it comes to getting a loan and as mentioned before everyone is very military friendly. She was able to get me a 30 year loan at 3.65% with about $7K in lender credits, which helped take care of the VA funding fee. She was also able to get us back about $1500 at closing as well. Super easy to work with, felt very personal and was able to call and ask any questions I had without seeming like a bother. PM me if you'd like any other specific details.

Is anyone at MacDill on the tanker side of things? Was offered MacDill instead of March due to an AFPC screw up ... Any QOL info would be awesome.

Question for the masses: I'm an AD KC-135 guy and just got picked up for March as my 2nd assignment. Just wanted to get a feel for what to expect and see if anyone is out there or has experience there. I realize that its an associate unit and that can somewhat hurt career progress. If anyone has general info on the base, community, QOL, and places to live, it would be much appreciated. I'm a married guy w/no kids...wife will be looking to go to Loma Linda for school while we are there. Thanks! Goblin

I've heard from several others, myself included, that you don't need to actually send Barclay your orders. They tell you to in the phone call, but then immediately apply the change regardless of seeing them.

Has anyone heard of considerations to sim time credit for military? I would think that the training is comparable if not better. The only issue I can see is the required ATP certified instructor. I was/an unable to get my written done by the end of the month so I'm trying to see how painful the process is going to be if/when I need the written.

I don't see why you think its attention whoring... As previously mentioned, there should be a little pride associated with the uniform and being able to wear it once every couple years to a wedding shouldn't be viewed as a negative, especially if the bride and groom asked you to wear it.

There's quite the difference between volunteers for USO shows and airmen who's JOB it is to do this, at the behest of their actual AFSC.
