  2. I prefer "the paper Sectional". Highly reliable. Everything I need is on it. If I find myself thinking I will need something for IFR filght,... I'll wait until it's VFR.
  3. Since I'm not FB savvy, how do you see that info on FB? I doubt any of you are "FB Friends" with the crewmembers, so do you do a search of some sort, or what?

  7. Quick update on the T-38 program here at Beale. The following have been prohibited: - 4-ship formations - Low level navigation - Bank angles in excess of 60 degrees in close trail - Aerobatics in extended trail Whiteman (GSC), and Tyndall/Langley should not be affected, or so I'm told
  8. Kit Darby has been saying this for over a decade. At some point, it will happen, and I'm sure he will say "See! I told you so!". But don't hold your breath just yet. Actually, it does mean something: I believe this TA was voted on and approved by all parties. It is in effect. The 2017 pay scale is part of that.
  9. If there really is one, I couldn't care less. Being fair to people is how I was raised. I don't need an AFI to teach me to be an adult. I also grew up with "humor",... something an AFI will never understand.

  15. Lawyer up if you even think there is a chance of something happening. I was #3 in a 4 ship where the flight lead got violated. I went straight to the ADC. Sure enough, a few days later, I was put under oath in the investigation. Talk to NO ONE without a lawyer. For me, that includes Wing Safety. This was the 3rd time I've used the ADC. My incidents were minor, obviously, and nothing criminal. But why someone would speak with investigators on a crime this serious without an attorney giving advice is beyond me.
  16. It's all in how you ask the question. It sounds more analytical if you word it "What percent get tailhook aviation?", or something along those lines, and they will be good with that.

  20. Steve, Do you know Chris Pocock very well? I just saw him at the El Centro Airshow. He's a great U-2 resource in the UK... or worldwide for that matter.
  21. Keep in mind, they are on P-TDY and do not appear to get per diem. You and I make $71/day in D.C. on meals and incidentals alone when on TDY orders.

  24. Not for me. I was at United for ~18 months. About 6 weeks prior to 9/11, I started the application process to come back onto active duty. And here I am.
