  1. I arrived Bagram ~20 June 2011 to fly the MC-12. Was there about 7 months, including during the time of said incident. You mention you knew both of the pilots involved. Unless you are talking about additional instances, one of the pilots of the incident being referred to arrived well after you (approx Sept or Oct). As for the issue of flashcards and such, I'm not sure what specifically you are referring to that was on those cards that was prohibited,... not that I remember them much anymore. I simply do not recall anything related to this incident. I was an ADO in the squadron and was questioned in great detail and have some solid first hand information. I do not wish to discuss details on this or any forum. The aircraft commander in question was in my opinion was the most knowledgeable and highly regarded pilot in the squadron. I strongly believe he is being made a scapegoat. I'm not willing to explain why. Irrespective of what my or your opinion of that crew is, let me just say there is "more to the story". In a few months after I retire, maybe I'll discuss it over a beer. The "court of public opinion" is flawed.
  2. Cryoglobin, When did you go through the MC-12 training? Were you at Bagram when it happened? Do you know any of the 4 crew members involved personally? Are you aware of anything,... via firsthand knowledge,... of the ensuing investigation? Were you someone who was questioned by the interim investigating team at Bagram? Curious. Please let me know.
  3. The first thing that comes to my mind is how some feminists are going to pressure Congressmen into "action". They will ratchet up our pain level another couple of notches, WRT the sexual assault arena. We will all be made out to be from the same bolt of cloth as Lt Col Krusinski. Let the beatings begin.
  4. Anything out of the ordinary? Or just getting passed over?
  5. Easy now... You're talking about some of my favorite people.
  6. ALCON: refer to the Diversity AFI. "To ensure Diversity and fairness, commanders mush ensure that they have some not-so-high quality personnel. Otherwise, it would be unfair and discriminatory." So even if Tebow has lost his talent, he deserves to be put somewhere in the NFL. It's only fair.
  7. What's this "Android" thing?
  8. I prefer "the paper Sectional". Highly reliable. Everything I need is on it. If I find myself thinking I will need something for IFR filght,... I'll wait until it's VFR.
  9. Since I'm not FB savvy, how do you see that info on FB? I doubt any of you are "FB Friends" with the crewmembers, so do you do a search of some sort, or what?
  10. Just saw this. Love it. Answer: white! In violation of the AFI, no doubt.
  11. it came out via FCIF. Reason: everything I have is 2nd hand info, so I will not comment.
  12. Good info, escapism. Thanks. How often do pilots washout from T-1s? Pretty rare, I'd assume?
  13. Quick update on the T-38 program here at Beale. The following have been prohibited: - 4-ship formations - Low level navigation - Bank angles in excess of 60 degrees in close trail - Aerobatics in extended trail Whiteman (GSC), and Tyndall/Langley should not be affected, or so I'm told
  14. Kit Darby has been saying this for over a decade. At some point, it will happen, and I'm sure he will say "See! I told you so!". But don't hold your breath just yet. Actually, it does mean something: I believe this TA was voted on and approved by all parties. It is in effect. The 2017 pay scale is part of that.
  15. If there really is one, I couldn't care less. Being fair to people is how I was raised. I don't need an AFI to teach me to be an adult. I also grew up with "humor",... something an AFI will never understand.
  16. Kurdistan, Kyrgystan,... whatever works.
  17. OverTQ, Seems most of the Herk guys I know that flew it prior to the early 90's have seen an an aileron roll in the Herk. Great rumor!
  18. Linky no worky.
  19. Blow me, Spoo... Old guys rule. And you know it.
  20. ...and he was a great American. https://www.jsc.nasa.gov/Bios/htmlbios/scobee.html
  21. Lawyer up if you even think there is a chance of something happening. I was #3 in a 4 ship where the flight lead got violated. I went straight to the ADC. Sure enough, a few days later, I was put under oath in the investigation. Talk to NO ONE without a lawyer. For me, that includes Wing Safety. This was the 3rd time I've used the ADC. My incidents were minor, obviously, and nothing criminal. But why someone would speak with investigators on a crime this serious without an attorney giving advice is beyond me.
  22. It's all in how you ask the question. It sounds more analytical if you word it "What percent get tailhook aviation?", or something along those lines, and they will be good with that.
  23. Wow. That is a unique experience. Relish it.
  24. Spoo, Who's the dude driving the car for your flight? I'm talking 'bout the guy with the cheesy mustache.
