  1. It never fails... a guy in the squadron knows the players involved in the flyover. More to the story as always. A quote from a great U-2 pilot, who is a master story teller: "Aviation is difficult, but we do it well...and when we do it well, it looks easy...and when it looks easy, it looks unimportant."
  2. Good find. I had never seen the full video, only the one that showed the last bit. That wingman sucked. He's probably the OG/CC now.
  3. Haha, good memory!! When was that? 10 years ago? And weren't those F-15C's? As for the video above... they had an Eagle as primary, but decided to put in Fighting Falcons as secondary???
  4. It would be hard for me to imagine AF leadership putting new programs into place... making drastic cuts based on what they perceive is being changed... and getting something wrong in the process. They don't make mistakes. That's why they are Generals.
  5. What was the gist of the videos?
  6. Indeed. It doesn't even have an internal ladder. And isn't stressed to be able to hang a ladder on the side, a la T-38. Nice job, Boeing. The T-50 was the obvious choice. But no... couldn't award another contract to Lockheed.
  7. Frank Kendall III... AMF.
  8. Then you never met Gen Kevin Chilton. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_P._Chilton
  9. Ironic that you used the term "herbivore". When McPeak was CINC PACAF, he was notorious for ordering bean salads for the entire staff when they were doing "working lunches". Hard to believe he is 89. I guess the diet worked ok for him. 🤷‍♂️
  10. Who is the 2nd person you're thinking of? Tony McPeak and "Skelator" are the same person.
  11. Boomer, it appears they fixed their mistake fairly quickly. Overall, it's a positive news piece.
  12. He's Blitz now. But it wasn't him.
  13. Four nights ago, Beale did the Monday Night Football flyover at Levi Stadium. Challenging airspace, to say the least, and led by a young ex T-6 FAIP who is a brand new flight lead. This is how it is done. Perfection IMG_1720.mov Edit: forgot to mention... 58 and 60 year old A-models, with an iPad and a stopwatch
  14. Bang Ding Ow... Ho Lee Fuk...
  15. United Airlines 232...
  16. Merry Christmas to all of you! Here's a special background you can put on your TV whilst eating Christmas dinner.
  17. Turn about is fair play... so let the Air Wing sink a ship.
  18. Probably the same one that called us out for not standing at attention... and basically ignoring... the Afghan Anthem being played.
  19. Go Navy!! Beat Navy!!!
  20. Well... The AF people that contracted the renovation were so incompetent that they got taken for $1.2M... so, they decide to simply tear the building down. What the fuck is wrong with us? https://www.daytondailynews.com/local/air-force-tears-down-historic-wpafb-house-after-12m-renovation/G6KURTKRGRDNNH5HSDHWINP6ZA/
  21. If not done yet, have the family call Dover AFB Mortuary Affairs (in Delaware). They just start there. 302.677.3982 Option2 24/7 number: 302.677.2362
  22. Let's see how USAFA reacts to this. https://fortune.com/2024/12/06/race-naval-academy-admissions-national-security-dei-affirmative-action-supreme-court/
  23. There are 2 (maybe more) OV-10's parked on the ramp at KMCC (in Sacramento), that have military paint and look very well taken care of. I'm assuming they were sold to Cal Fire, who is also at KMCC.
  24. There's a reason you don't see near as many aircraft with the tail wheel mounted on the front end, doing back country flying.
