Information on PCS/moves/moving (DITY, TMO, DLA, storage)
So I've checked my claim with the movers about FRV and they denied almost everything due to us throwing away all the broken stuff. We had pictures of the stuff before we chucked it, but apparently that wasn't good enough. Is my only recourse at this point in time to submit it through the base?

Before the panic I bought a PSA MOE LPK for $65. You can find the same one at PSA for $79. https://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/lower-parts/parts-kits.html. I also just picked up another lower from them for $119. Last I checked they still had stripped lowers in stock. https://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/psa-ar15-lower.html

Ordered some for my CMMG conversion kit and M&P 22. I'll let you know how it works out. On another note, Aguila SuperExtra does NOT work with the M&P at all. Every other round had to be manually cycled. Worked fine with CMMG kit though.

Anybody have any good recommendations/first hand experience on a kydex holster and mag pouch for the M&P .22? I've read that the M&P 22 slide is similar to the .45 in width and may fit a holster for those, but doesn't quite fit M&P 9 holsters. Thanks! On another note, I just picked up another Mosin and was thinking of sporterizing it with the archangel stock https://www.promagindustries.com/product-p/aa9130.htm as well as throwing on a budget rifle scope with a Rock Solid Industries scope mount. Anyone have any experience sporterizing these?- Gun Talk
You are the man! Thanks, I just ordered a couple!- Gun Talk
PSA has CMMG .22LR conversion kits in stock for those that want to save a little $ shooting their ARs.https://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/conversion-kits.html- Gun Talk
So I bought the M&P 22 yesterday morning and decided to make it a .22 day at the range since I needed to test out my new CMMG .22 AR conversion kit. I ended up shooting about 300 rounds of .22 Blazer and Federal through the M&P and another 500 through my AR with the CMMG conversion kit. I must say, both the M&P and the CMMG kit impressed me very much. Not a single hiccup in the M&P, and only one FTF with the conversion kit. I believe the FTF was attributed to the Black Dog magazine I was using. Anyway, If anyone is on the fence about either I highly recommend both. Now comes the problem of finding more .22!- Gun Talk
It's all relative. I don't exactly have CR123's laying around the house like AAs. I also don't have a set of NVGs I can snag some 123s from. Yeah granted, you could buy a shit-ton online and keep them for a rainy day, but 123s aren't as useful in everyday life as AAs. Just my .02.- Gun Talk
A buddy of mine has one on his AR. I like it, but it requires a CR123 battery which can be a little more expensive and may be harder to find. Their 512 takes two AAs, but it takes up more space on your upper. Either way, I'm sure you'd be happy with it.- Information on PCS/moves/moving (DITY, TMO, DLA, storage)
Do they usually pay you for part of a partial DITY on your PCS voucher, or do they pay the move separately? I was a TDY enroute to Columbus. I received my PCS voucher last week, and this morning I received a voucher for my DITY which was roughly $1600. To me that seems awfully low considering I had a trailer with 3,000 lbs of stuff as well as my wife's car with 700 lbs. With this weight and our HHGs, we are still below our authorized weight allotment. Is this amount correct, or do I need to do some further digging? The voucher itself had little information. Thanks!- Gun Talk

I've read/watched nothing but good reviews on this conversion kit. I'll let you guys know how it is after I receive it from PSA in about a month.- Gun Talk
Well I was torn between this or the XDS .45, but I have a bunch of 9mm stocked up and no .45, so I ended up going with the 9mm.- Gun Talk
Just ordered this today. Hopefully it's as fun to shoot as the reviews say it is.- Shit Pilot Wives Don't Say

PSA has 30 rd AR mags in stock: https://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/dh-5-56-30rd-aluminum-mag.html- PRK and LASIK Information
I'm currently sitting on a PRK waiver and had the procedure done back in '02. Now that It's been about 11 years, my eyes have slowly gotten worse to the point where I think I may need glasses. Since I'm more than likely going to need glasses in the near future to maintain 20/20, would a PRK touch-up even be an option for me now that I'm on active flying status, or will I be looking at glasses/contacts only?- Gun Talk
I have around fifteen PMags and I've noticed that there are a few that if loaded with thirty rounds, have a tendency to not lock in the mag well with the bolt closed. If I have the bolt open, they lock in place fine. When I usually leave around 28 rounds in the mags, they seat fine. - North Korea at it again
