    University of Arkansas Master of Science in Operations Management. All online, high school level work. Pretty cheap. I graduated in a year with a 4.0 and literally spent half an hour a week on each class. 2-3 classes per semester.

    Read "A Random Walk Down Wall Street". Buy low cost passive index funds and once you come up with an asset allocation you are comfortable with, stay the course and tune out the noise. Rebalance yearly. Im actually excited about this downturn. Lots of things on sale!

    Yep, living in base. If I can get hired, anyone can, especially with upcoming retirements. I didn't get hired by a major right out of the AF. you may have to take the regional pill temporarily...

    Happily flying for a major. Worked 8 days this month and made more than I would have as a Major. No regrets...the grass is greener!

    Leave and never look back. Offering continuation is a win-win for the AF. They either get you to stay or they get your separation pay. It's fucking extortion.

    You will not get called without an ATP by a major right now. Period dot. I don't know what the future holds, but I see that requirement never going away. Now, you may get hired by a regional...

    They have 90 days after you return after leave to throw it in there. It's still not an insignificant chunk of change.

    One thing to also remember is that while on mil leave with a seniority # at a Major, they are still putting 15-16%/month into your 401k while doing your Reserve duty. That's money in your name...not some promise from our banana republic government. Whatever your decision, it behooves you to get your seniority number as soon as possible. -Capt Obvious
