  1. This. Just pony up the money and buy it. You're going to need it again in the future, you're reimbursed for it and it's worth your time to not have to fight the rental place.
  2. VTI DVY VB DGT IYLD IBND Total Expense Ratio (weighted for this current portfolio) is 0.26%.

I made a trust. Definitely the way to go. No fingerprinting. Also, there can be multiple beneficiaries on the trust for when you kick the bucket. Also, most people are e-filing their Form 4 items now....people seem to be getting stamps back in around 120 days. I'm about to test this claim. All my other Forms have been mailed. Everything you could ever want to know here: http://www.ar15.com/forums/f_6/17_General_Class_3.html
  4. You'll need a PT test....pretty sure. I'm doing one next weekend. (currently enlisted) AMS candidates will be administered an official Air Force fitness test no earlier than two months (60 days) prior to an no later than one week (7 days) prior to their departure from home station for their respective course. I'll be there 23 MAR as well. See you guys there.
  5. "Even the Air Force’s devilishly complex F-22 stealth fighter—another Lockheed product—is ready 69 percent of the time." Alright...which one of you wrote this article....?
  6. Buy a house. Rent to friends. Profit. Even if you don't rent to friends, you're not really maximizing your "2K/month going towards investments" if you have to throw away a couple hundred in rent every month.
  7. KAAO is my home airport. It was pretty crazy seeing that thing on 18/36.

    Shooting at LAX

http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-shooting-lax-20131101,0,3342378.story#axzz2jPuKeI00 "The man, told him, “I got shot, I’m fine.” He told passengers not to worry about him and that he had been shot before, Adamick said." Hilariously ironic for CA and their gun laws.
  9. I was told all of the FY14 slots are full. At this point, we're all waiting on FY15.
  10. This. After graduating college with a degree in Finance, I can't explain to you how gimmicky 99% of "financial advisors" are in most offices. A financial advisor is a sales position. Exceptions to every rule, of course.

I've watched JM for a long time now. Excellent shooter and downright impressive to watch. I can't believe he shoulder-fired that Barrett....that thing's a heavy b$@tch.
  12. Why the move? Flying AH-1Zs sounds freaking awesome. Unless it's a lifestyle change, it seems like it'd be hard to beat what you're doing now. ANG A-10s may be your best bet, but yeah...minimal squadrons are left and RUMINT has them fading fast.
  13. g. Units and organizations that have a reasonable expectation to conduct terminal attack control in order to accomplish their assigned missions need to have individuals available trained to the appropriate standards to perform this activity (e.g., JTACs). However, experience has shown that there are, and will likely continue to be, instances where terminal attack control will be requested by personnel/units that do not have JTACs present. In these instances, JTACs, FAC(A)s, and/or CAS aircrews should attempt to assist these personnel/units to the greatest extent possible to bring fires to bear in support of their combat operations. Chapter I, 2g, JP 3-09.3
  14. We could start a whole new thread on pilot-JTAC nonsense comms.
  15. I resent that. I paid for this inability to think from an accredited university.
  16. So we're going to start doing AI with 20 mm strafe? Someone please enlighten us "retards"... in what scenario, other than CAS, would necessitate an Eagle shooting bullets at the ground? Granted, this question doesn't really contribute to the whole "SNIPER on F-15C" convo, still.....
  17. Classic "just because you can...doesn't mean you should" scenario here. Don't we have enough platforms playing CAS these days? Can't comment on the air-to-air effectiveness, however....

Pretty sure I watched the ANA perform this kind of test in Astan with their M-16/M-240s.....replace "stairwell" with "mountain", though. Also, I didn't see the "use your weapon as a walking stick with your finger in the trigger guard until you AD" test. I've ran a KSG a couple times and have to say...they are pretty nice. Still not an 870, though.
  19. Amazing story. True, unadulterated CAS. Hats off to the controller, too...he did a great job of adapting to bad WX conditions with limited tools and helped get rounds down effectively. Also, first post = case of beer.
