The sad thing is I have seen many commanders who don’t know this or don’t give a . I saw a “#2/xx FGOs” get a MAJCOM push because that was their vector (of which 85% get a MAJCOM vector).

You know there are not many 365s left, right? They’ve been converted back to 6-monthers for the most part.

It should have been a go around. That is a 197’ wide runway. Both trucks were over the grass and the left wingtip was nearly over the runway edge line. That means the aircraft was around 85’ right of center. In my airplane, more than 25’ off centerline is a U. The only way to get to that runway is a circle or visual circuit due to the close proximity of CDG. It was probably a poorly flown circle/visual pattern...but that doesn’t excuse the violation of everything AMC has been trying to teach for the last several years about landings/go arounds. We had a pilot in my squadron who passed out and fell. It took months of medical stuff and the Sq/CC fighting tooth and nail to return that pilot to flight status. Even then they had to always fly with an IP and we had to make specific comments/notes in their training folder. That training folder was nearly two inches thick several years later when they finally received the med ok to upgrade to AC.
