My viewpoint is he didn’t start a single one of those pissing matches and actually kept his cool far better than the ones who started the BS in the first place, and certainly far better than trump would have. His answers are also well stated and thought out, especially considering it’s on the fly. I wish Desantis would have been more direct in addressing other candidates - he seemed a little quiet at times. Doesn’t affect my view on him though, still like him as a candidate who can crush Biden.

I think Desantis played the debate well …. Why bother rolling around in the mud with the single digit polling folks when he didn’t need to.

just wish he had given more straight answers and less pre-canned messages.

he’s been a really good governor.

  2. Meh … I think Vivek came off a lot LESS polished by getting into trump-esq pissing matches and talking over Haley and Pence. To be fair, it didn’t look good on them either, but unless something significant changes they don’t stand a chance anyway.

    And they are all Tumbleweed.

How does a Wing/CC (and Patch at that), who started as an ABMer and looks to be mostly an on-time guy (maybe 1BPZ), have only senior ABM wings at 21 years of service?

Not to split hairs here but the t-6 is a jet. Quite literally. It has a jet engine in it that has no mechanical linkage to the prop, and it even has exhaust stacks that make a small but non-zero amount of thrust.

So stop being afraid of your douche canoe enjjpt IP and tell him to open the dash 1, learn his systems, and maybe just eat a whole dick.

    Nah. Turboprop. Not a jet.

@TreeA10 @HossHarris @joe1234 Another mentorship question for all you: I am coming from the Army, where our pilot LT's were leaders first and foremost, pilots when time allowed. Cultural stuff like that is one of the many reasons I switched branches, but what are the typical leadership expectations heavy units have for their new LT's? How about Captains?

Wasn’t ever in heavies. But in the fighter world, Cgo’s are expected to learn the mws and tactics first and foremost. And ensure the bar is up to snuff secondarily.

if you didn’t know 3-1 inside outside backwards and forwards in short order during your first ops assignment, you were fucking up.

Which begs the question:  Why should airline pilots demand crazy pay when management knows they won’t/can’t strike?  It’s not like Delta pilots would have left in droves to go work for other airlines.  And it’s not like Frontier or Spirt pilots are crashing all the time either, yet they’re not making the same pay.

    But it is like that.

at the moment, American, southwest, and FedEx pilots are coming to delta.

    is it droves…no.
is it enough to have empty seats in Indoc classes and letters of resignation that definitely get management attention. … yes.

Any idea how retirement dates work with continuation? The paper says you have to retire on the 1st of a month except for medical, but in my case, 20 years falls on the 31st.

Your last active duty day will be the 31st.

you retire (and become a Mr.) on the 1st.

Yes. Please start quantifying and tracking gender based performance so we can identify our shortfalls.

Once it all gets averaged out we should be able to identify the truly superior gender and place others in appropriate roles. That should end well. /s

Y'all do know that people who are not US citizens can't vote, right? I mean, are we talking US-born second-generation adults with latino/hispanic heritage? Please elaborate on how non-citizen immigrants, either here legally or illegally, are factors in US elections.

They can’t vote in national elections …. But can vote in many local elections and referendums.

Oh you got me. Ouch. I just haven’t bought into the 30 years of brainwashing and attempted normalization of destructive behavior.

I’ve got some good friends who have a child each who bought into all this crap and it’s ruined both of the kid’s lives. Tons of mental health issues and destructive behavior. It’s just a poor choice and the whole push towards it pisses me off when I’ve seen two families impacted by the whole alphabet crew.

Again, there is nothing good for the individual or the family that can come from choosing abnormal behavior.

So you think homosexuality is a choice then?

I did a lag roll pretty close to my form partner in T-6s.  My instructor let me do it.  It was my rec ride for form in T-6s.  Other than my checkride the next day, it was one of my last memories of flying upside down, as I tracked helos.

You can fly upside down in helos!

Lolol call me a F2F nazi all you want but I don't think figuring out a ratio between two numbers should be a task beyond our student pilots.

Its pretty telling that your paragraph comes off as an impossibly difficult joke now but you basically described a standard instrument check profile from 10-15 years ago

That was pretty much T-38A instrument check almost exactly … tacan rather than NDB … but potato potahto
