  1. Too late for Christmas this year but perfect for new years! Saw this in the squadron bar: 1 cup sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 1 cup water 1 tsp. salt 1 cup brown sugar 4 large eggs nuts 1 bottle of Weed 2 cups dried fruit Sample the Weed to check quality. Take out a large bowl; check the Weed again to be sure it is of the highest quality. Repeat. Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point, it is best to make sure the Weed is still okay. Try another cup just in case. Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break two eggs and add to the bowl and chuck iin the cup of dried fruit. Pick the fruit up off the floor. Mix on the turner. If the fried druit getas stuck in the beaterers, pry it loose with a drewscriver. Sample the Weed to test for tonsisticity. Next, sift two cups of salt, or something. Check the Weed. Now shift the lemon ice strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoonfull of sugar or somefink. Whatever you can find. Greash the oven. Turn the cake tin 360's and try not to fall over. Don't forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through the window. Finish the Weed and wipe the counter with the cat. Hoopy Hollandaise!!

  4. AMU isn't the only one doing this. They've all figured out that promotion in active duty AF has become pay-to-play, and there's a huge audience of folks who will pay out of their own pocket above TA to check a box. Just wait until TA is cancelled soon... lots of folks paying out of their own pockets, or blowing their GI Bill, on useless masters degrees.

  5. It's kind of like having that weird uncle in your family. You don't want anyone to know you're actually related to them.

  6. Met him once at MacDill soon after he took over CENTCOM. That's a lot of stars for a young Sgt to see in the commissary when he turned around and said, "You've only got a couple of things, why don't you just go ahead of me..." Who'd have though that two years later he'd indirectly be "the boss" as I deployed to the Gulf. I understand he was a tough taskmaster, but then just look what he got out of us.

  7. There is a much deeper problem here. This is getting into basic freedoms. Freedom of speech, freedom of religion etc. Do individuals and churches have to declare at their inception everything that they believe in and can't change that? I also think that we are well past the point to where the government is legislating morality and deciding what churches can and cannot believe in. There are many churches that have had a stand against birth control ever since it became available and now they are expected to suddenly change that belief because the government says they are wrong? Yes, conservatives like to play the slippery slope card but it is also fairly accurate and the government is always known for taking more and more power but seldom ever gives it up.

  9. 10-12 hrs/week sounds a bit high. You can definitely get by with just skimming over the readings. I'm just finishing up the regular classes and im guessing I averaged about 2 -3 hrs per week over the entire program thus far, including papers (and no, I'm not very smart). But yes, it is an easy program, especially for graduate level. If you do the work, you're guaranteed a B a least.
