  1. Wow. You clearly are not in the flying world, nor know anything about it. If you want to know anything about ANY weapon system in the Air Force, you go to the squadron and find the crustiest gray beard O-5 in the building. This person will almost always NOT be the SQ/CC or DO. It will be the crusty passed over O-5 who has no prospect of promotion. Usually this person will hold no "real" job in the unit, but will be the person that every CP, AC, and even IPs come to for answers. They have more time in the jet than most guys have on active duty. They have every applicable TO and AFI memorized, not through study but through experience. These are the guys I seek out when I need answers to life's questions. By you disregarding and seeking to discredit one of these individuals it speaks volumes about both your character and your experience.

  3. This is absolutely false. I transfered 100% of my benefits to my wife 3 years ago. Just last month, I transfered all of them except for one month to my daughter (she wasn't listed on the initial transfer) and did not incur an additional ADSC. The ADSC you incur is to be able to transfer those benefits whenever/however you want (within the eligibility rules).

  4. You still haven't posted a reason why anyone should listen to you. Care to give that one a try?

  6. Ok, I think we have a bit of a consensus here. 1. There is no reason that Lts that have not even made it into the "real" Air Force, through no fault of their own, should be passed over for O-3. It is a waste of training/money, and a kick in the nuts to good people that signed up to serve their country. 2. That has got to change. 3. Lts can no longer just be Lts and supervisors at all levels need to be proactive in educating/mentoring them. 4. SOF guy is a douche. Is that about it?

  7. Isn't the easy solution to change the name of Undergraduate Pilot Training to Graduate Pilot Training and issue every new pilot a master's degree in Aviation to go with their shiny new wings? No more pilots wasting time and taxpayer dollars on nonsense degrees. Combat effectiveness and pilot promotion rates increased and millions of dollars saved. Boom, problem solved. Somebody call the IDEA program and have them write me a fucking check. I will also accept payment in bourbon, pixie stix, and pictures of tits.
