  2. It's a fundraiser that loops back to the Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Association for his wife and two girls, who will both be in college in a few years. The link has been shared by pretty much all of the Barnestormers on Facebook and I think it was started by the 131 FS SQ/CC. It'll go to a great cause. Also, Moose was a really awesome guy in every aspect of life. I really looked up to him and I only knew him for about 6 months. I can't imagine what his wife and girls are going through. Godspeed, Sir.

  4. Bro, My wife failed the medical clearance on our way out to Japan. I did everything in my power to get us both out there and eventually did. Her situation deteriorated and Medical drug it's feet fixing it making a bad problem horrifically worse. It destroyed my marriage (finishing up the divorce now). If one of your family members fails the medical screening for an assignment .... DON'T GO.

  6. A dip check before dropping the JDAMs while on NVGs would have solved this problem. But Bones are the best CAS platform.

  8. Not only that. This idea that you need to look out the window is... Well funny from my perspective. We don't shoot visually. At all. Everything on the aircraft is driven around looking through that sensor as a gunner and no the guy driving you around in back doesn't have the SA or the visibility to look out and confirm where your rounds are going to go. We have the advantage of a wingman with their own sensor true but using NVGs from the cockpit to see a target from the combination of my altitude and cockpit visibility are about impossible so it isn't done. We have more in common with the Strike Eagle in that regard than we do with something like a Viper or Hawg. And while it's not a pass for the Bone guys that the JTAC miffed the grid, if he had done the same thing with artillery you would have had the same effect. I agree with the earlier post... Build a hundred bridges nobody cares....
